So nice to see someone else starting in the centre, and focusing on one colour at a time as much as possible. I do have multiple projects going but wouldn't be able to do them a few days before moving on to the next. I make jewellery and it has been ages since I had time to stitch, and I only recently found three kits I thought I'd lost forever. Frederick the Literate is 70% done but I've lost half of the threads so need to sort that out. Also Peacock Tapestry that is no more than 8ish % done, and Clifftop Poppies that I might now be 30% done with and am working on at the moment. Used to be very efficient but jewellery has taken my focus over the past 10 years.
I decided to have a Christmas in July start. Then I decided to do Tour de France using that start. It's not full coverage but 3000 stitches will be a wonderful beginning. So it won't be official but hopefully both of us can keep up.
Your weekly progress this time is my progress for the last two months. You have stitched quite a lot, especially on the new Mira and she looks great. The teapot is so so beautiful, this time you made me decide: I will buy this pattern and I will stitch it as a present. Happy stitching!
Smoky is such a sweetie! Always love to see a Mirabillia face come to life. Beautiful. It’s 6 months till Christmas and the new year. Yikes😳. We still have plenty of 2024 to stitch in, but was wondering as I worked on my Turtles yesterday if there might be a new temperature chart in the works.
I do have another Temperature design I'm planning. Summer is usually too crazy to do much designing, so hopefully I can start getting it plotted out when school starts back up. :)

I finished the storykeep version of Princess of the Sea last year. You are right - she is really pretty. Chip away at those plans, every stitch counts.
My favorite is the teapots . We go thru stages, I have stitched teddy bears, cats, flowers, etc. My favorite are my teapots, teacups, etc. Smokey is a trip.

If you haven't already, get a kittycat laser pointer (I think that;s what it's called; it's mouse-shaped.) Also, get a YEOWWW! Catnip banana. My cat goes mental for these items (and she's 13 years old.)
What happened to your temperature stitch that was back in time. I lost my fur baby about 5 months ago. I had a dachshund. Saturday, I'm going to get a baby Yorkie. My week is busy too. I have canning to do and planting flowers and I'm in desperate need of an apron so I'm going to sit down and sew an apron. Your stitching is always so beautiful.
I was stitching Temperature Butterflies for the year we got married. Only I was also stitching a current temperature design that year as well - too much to keep up on! I do hope to pull it out again for my travel stitching next year to hopefully get it finished up. :)
I really like your Celtic ladies collage, they are all so pretty together and I look forward to seeing Edwardian lady again, she's pretty too! Can I ask about "Wip Go"? I've heard that several times now but I don't know what that is? Oh and Smokey was so cute with the string!
@@silent_as_a_mouse8707 WIPGO is a kind of bingo game you can play with your WIPs (works in progress). Jesse Marie Does Stuff runs it. She has a video on her channel that describes it as well as Facebook and Instagram accounts for it. Basically, you fill out your board with your projects and your goals and Jesse will call 2 numbers each month for you to work towards. This year, my goal is to work on the called projects for two days each during that month. Last year I chose smalls that I was focusing on finishing during the month.

@@christinapoindexter4251 I was gifted the Celtic Ladies patterns along with many of the needlepaint flosses. There is one range of shades I had to substitute with DMC, but it’ll be fun to use the ones I have. 😍

I tend to stitch my half stitch projects just like they're the first leg of my X, only I don't cross it. I don't do anything special, but part of my success with that is that I stitch with a fairly loose tension. I think if your tension is on the tighter side, you might need to look up tricks to avoid fabric warping. Personally, some of the things that I've heard suggested make warping worse for me, so I just keep on using a regular half stitch. I do need to block the finished piece (wash, pin straight, let dry while pinned) before framing to correct the mild warping that will inevitably occur.

The Cats & Hearts patterns use cross stitch and some backstitch for things like stems and an inner border around the heart.
