  • Tuesday July 24 2018 at 14.30. 66116 heading back to the docks with empty biomass containers. It was seen 110 minutes earlier at Hensall Station. Anyone looking for diesel fumes can find plenty from this locomotive. Nobody even cleans the evidence off its roof. Or, alarmingly, perhaps they do and it quickly returns. This crossing is 3/4 of a mile from Weeland Road LC. The latest official figures show that 43 trains use this crossing each day and 110 trains use Weeland Road. Its always reassuring to know that NR works from accurate figures. When NR spend a million pounds installing a level crossing it amazes me that they don’t spend an extra £25 and have counters fitted so they know how many vehicles and trains use their crossings.
