Just got a job in Boston and planning to move there soon- I’m excited but have been getting mixed reviews online and hope I can just make the best of it!!
Same here!! I shall soon be moving to boston and my office is in the channel center street. Will you help me with some info and guidance 😬 Appreciate it! Thank you and good day
I'm a brown, very ethnic-looking, Mexican girl and I have been wanting to visit Boston, Cambridge Salem for a while now, but I am not looking forward to being stared at the way I always do when I am in "trendier" or more affluent neighborhoods. Thank you for posting this video.
Girl bye it’s hella Spanish people (Dominican ,puerto Rican) in Boston she’s just in the rich white areas. You go to the inner city it’s a Spanish spot and bodega every corner get your leaf and some chicharron
I love seeing a Filipina with her take on Boston. Shout out to a fellow Californian, also. I've been wanting to switch up from California (currently in Wisconsin - don't ask), and it's interesting to hear your experience as a Filipina outside of California. Not looking to live in Boston, but great insights.
8:55 Titas Kitchenette in National City? What a coincidence, I used to live 5 minutes away from that restaurant! I now live in LA but my dream has always been to move to Massachusetts in the near future. Went there for the first time for a Punk concert last month and I have to say, downtown Boston is the cleanest downtown that ive ever walked through. You probably know compared to SD or LA.
so what’s your perspective on Boston now so far since you been there ?? I’m moving there soon I’m a city girl but I’m very diverse so I can adapt & adjust
Thanks for the video! I am a Filipina moving to Boston in a few weeks and have been looking for a Filipino store near and the info you shared is extremely helpful!
Same here!! I shall soon be moving to boston and my office is in the channel center street. Will you help me with some info and guidance 😬 Appreciate it! Thank you and good day
Yeah, Boston is also my dream city to live in because of its European-like architecture, rich history and backstory, train stations, a fairly stable weather, and more. It’s a very unique city in my perspective
All you need to know about Boston & the surrounding areas is how insanely overpopulated they are and have become over this building boom. Getting around and being able to function is a complete nightmare.
True, but I ride around on an electric scooter and it’s amazing. Love it. We also have buses, public transportation, & multiple train stations. It’s worth taking because so many Americans of all ages male and female do take the train. Heck I’ve even seen people willing to drive to Boston for work from Springfield. Insane yes, but it’s happening because lack of work in smaller towns. Right now Boston has plenty of high paying PT temporary work. If that’s for you I mean it’s great. If you’ve come to realize you can’t afford to work here then quit and leave. Imo though Boston is great the people are great and sure we have some rough spots like any town but we make do with what we got. We are Boston Strong 💪
I was just there last Sunday and I loved getting around from here to there, plus I live in Framingham and since we became a city we still like a town, no transportation but a shitty bus that doesn’t get around much and too far from my house. Same boring foods, no entertainment, I can’t wait to move to Boston.
Thanks for this video! Been living in San Diego for two years and thinking about my next move. Originally from PA + want to go back to the east coast, just not sure where yet.
Hey Guys! I shall soon be moving to boston for work and office is at channel center street. I know noone there so feeling to refer to such videos. They really help you plan better in advance. Hope you all are doing good and settled, I wish others who are planning to move soon all the very best. Hope to hear and meet you guys there, cheers!!
Speaking of Filipinos, there’s been many times I’d think the person is Cambodian but then find out he/ she’s Filipino 😅 I get mistaken as Filipino and my Filipino friend gets mistaken as Cambodian. Does that happen a lot in the west coast?
I'm a mexican american from southern california moving to Boston in July...where would you recommend living where it feels more diverse? Any taquerias?
Great video! I am moving to boston in a couple of months and I’d like to know which neighborhoods you’d say are the safest ones and not to expensive 👀😅 Thank you!
Tbh Boston isn’t really a dangerous city. A lot of homeless people here with addictions and some self care issues they’re trying to cope with, but I’ve lived here awhile and to be honest they’ve really been trying to get better and cope with their problems and situation. Most residents would applaud their strengths. Can’t be easy sleeping on that cold ground with rats and digging through the garbage. They didn’t choose that lifestyle. Shit happens.
Oh my gosh I totally agree, I’d personally really benefit from it and I know others moving here as well! Would love to know what to do or where to even start
Hey there. Thanks for the video. I just want to ask about the houses or apartments in boston. Are they good? Is there anything that disturbs you in apartments? For example, the cold. I know it is cold there in the winter. Do you have any problem with that? Are the sound or heat insulations good enough or they dont exist? Thanks in advance.
It really depends what style home/apartment you are living in. Personally I love my place and any issues I've had are addressed pretty quickly with my landlord. Older homes you may be concerned a bit but again if you are renting having a good landlord helps. The few people I know that own homes are happy with their choices
00:50 omg I'm loving you so much for considering this. My sister and I are thinking about starting a new life in USA (doing all the legal stuff first) and we're brown latinas who don't speak the language like a native do🥹
The transit is severely lacking in Boston if you don't live directly off a T line. I left Boston a few years ago and I haven't regretted it yet. Its Nice to visit, but sad to exist in for multiple years. My advice is to do what you got to do and GET OUT! Build your professional chops/ go to school but don't get caught up in the Boston life of slum lords, Sep. 1st moving cycle, and long cold winters.
Hi, thank you for the insightful video. May I ask is the broker fee equivalent to the first month rent ? Or a percentage of the rental price ? Thank you 😊
@@HadelLynnLeyco thank you for your response. So the total move in would be = first month rent + security deposit + broker's fee + (possible last month rent too ?) Thank you 😊
I just moved here about a month ago. I’m really home sick (LA to BOS) and I haven’t socialized with anyone AT ALL lol I hope I get better with it in time

Every place will have its pros and cons so it's up to you to decide what you think of it and hopefully you enjoy Boston as much I have 😊
That’s awesome Nicole 👏 😎
