Which Boston Neighborhoods to Live In
Thanks for posting your Lasik Eye Surgery Journey. I had a couple of friends do it last year and they said it was one of the best decisions they ever made in their life. I'm planning to get it done next year. You posting the different moments such as pre-op, the actual Lasik Eye surgery and post-op really helps others understand the process. Plus thanks for giving information about what instructions they gave you before everything was done and after. I had no idea about people having to take those eye drop medications for preparation of the surgery and the whole safety googles, and shower/sleep instructions after surgery. Plus the pain/relaxation medications and time frame of the whole ordeal. Makes me more confident in getting it done next year. Happy Holidays to you.
Happy Holidays and I'm glad you found this video helpful!
Thank you 🦋
Thank you 🦋
Great stuff
There are more Viet folks out here in BeanTown than the Pinoy peeps residing in the Commonwealth in general.
I just uninstalled it last week because my depression is nearly entering terminal stage, so before I got admitted to mental asylum I made the hardest choice in my life to uninstall the poison app and only see it from the browser which have limited access, I still haven't improved much because its just a week
Hello, this was really helpful! I'm possibly moving to Boston area from the UK next summer for work and expecting to earn about $70k pre-tax, working in Cambridge. Can you recommend any areas that have cheaper housing compared to other areas, or any advice on how to find a place? I'm not familiar with the process of securing housing in the US so any advice to help me get started would be amazing!
Amazing experience, first place that i actually want to visit.
What nursing school are you going to? I’m trying to get into Northeastern, BU or Simmons.
I was at MGH IHP!
What apartment was this?
Thank you for sharing. I started my channel and posted my first video this morning. I really enjoy listening to the success stories of other youtubers. It's motivation for me. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 congrats on your monetization. 😊
UPDATE: In 2024 you need a monthly income of $20k to live in Boston rent now is over $4k a month for tiny spaces majority of landlords don’t accept pets, don’t offer parking , require perfect credit score and make you pay for them to see you’re credit report everyone has a broker that you will have to pay between a half month to a entire month rent even though you did all The work. It’s best not to own a car (it’s a waste of time,) parking is $20-$30/HR vs Train (T) $2.40/one way. The T has been under renovations since 2023. 2023 a red line caught on fire and orange line wasn’t working most of the last year. Living in the outskirts of Boston will save you few hundred bucks a month in rent. so.. Good Luck!!!
Hi Hadel-Lynn! This is Carolyn from Exeter lobby. I just happened upon your channel! Congratulations on your nursing career! Miss you ❤
Hi Ms. Carolyn! Thank you so much and I miss you as well!!
Esta perro Alli en Boston keep it up with the videos
Esta chido tu canal, planning to do what you did
MG8 student? How was it ? I’m looking to go into that program.
aww i'm so glad i found your channel!! i am currently living in the Philippines, hoping to move to Boston someday <3 i hope you never stop posting content! :)
I live in Rhode Island, not far from Boston, and my favorite daytrip destination is the Trolley museum in Kennebunkport Maine, a comfortable ride from Boston, also, Nashua New Hampshire is not a long distance, so you can take advantage of the no sales tax in NH, go shopping it does make a difference and New Hampshire is another beautiful place for nature-lovers: white mountains, Mount Washington, whitewater rifting on the swift river , fresh air at the white birches campground and these are in easy access from Boston , even Montreal Canada isn't too far and yes Boston itself is full of wonderful places to go and see; yes it can be snowy, but at least there are no hurricanes nor tornados And one more thing : fort Independence on Castle Island in South Boston is such a relaxing family-friendly place I love it, you can watch the planes take-off and land at the nearby Logan International airport there!
You saying that we are consumers of instagram, and it’s a business hit me in the face lol. That is so true.
Thank you! This is a great video. I'm a new channel, I just started a few days ago and so it's really nice to see some honest information about actual earnings as a small channel.
My mental health was very much affected by Instagram . I dropped out and it was the best decision.
Don’t move here unless you are making at least 120k a year or you will just be paying your rent, groceries, and utilities and maybe a coffee or two 2️⃣ 😅
East Boston is not affordable LOL
Sounds like she said Chowdah, so Boston lol
Thanks Hadel <3 i'm going on 1 month without instagram!
I just failed the NCLEX🥺. I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and wasting of time 😡, I'm confident that I will be a good nurse. I just want to pass my exam 😞
Walk over a few more blocks and go to C-Mart in the South End. It's on the corner of Washington and Herald. That's my favorite Asian market in town..
It's ridiculous with the broker thieves. That's not a typo. I saw them ruin Somerville in other places the bully the owners get bullied by the agents. Just keep raising the prices. A month's rent for doing nothing
Congrats on finishing Good luck! Where are you heading ? I’m thinking of moving back to Boston for culture and fam.
I'm actually working on a video that addresses where I'm headed off to next!
@@HadelLynnLeyco can’t wait!
8:55 Titas Kitchenette in National City? What a coincidence, I used to live 5 minutes away from that restaurant! I now live in LA but my dream has always been to move to Massachusetts in the near future. Went there for the first time for a Punk concert last month and I have to say, downtown Boston is the cleanest downtown that ive ever walked through. You probably know compared to SD or LA.
I know it would take a lot of time, but I would to see you actually at these locations. I guarantee that your view ship would skyrocket if you did that. Remember, watching someone talk on video isn’t nearly as interesting as seeing someone doing something. Boston is beautiful; I lived there for 13 years. You need to show them. You’re a great speaker!
Having graduated twice from Irvine, I would never recommend the UC system. I would pick either USC or SDSU or another private university. It wasn't at all unusual to have a professor get up at the start of the term and say, "We have 300 students in this class and room for 150 in the next. So no matter what you do, we WILL fail half of you, even if we have to divide you up alphabetically." Also, many ,many times, I have seen perfectly correct answers receive zero credit bc the professor needed to meet his quota for attrition. On one exam, a friend of mine had to GUESS the size of the bowling ball . The professor didn''t give partial credit. and the test consisted of ONE question. Also, not having sports teams REALLY detracts from the student and alumni experience. I had friends who went to USC and UCLA, and every year there would be generations of alums from both schools in the stands to watch the annual USC/UCLA grudge match. At most UCs, you get a diploma - period - if you're lucky. What this lady says about going to a JC or even Cal State if you don't get the major you want is exactly spot on. Employers first look at what you studied and only after that consider where you studied. A really good resource on this subject is a piece titled The Hatchet Man's Playbook.
This video is so helpful as someone who's over 25! You're so right about jobs and transit - going into healthcare, certain hospitals offer discounts on charlie cards
I'm glad!
Damn that's a lot of money. Thank God i live in the burbs instead of the city proper and I have a cheap lifestyle. Are you going to stay here after graduation?
I'm actually moving away since it's too pricey!
@HadelLynnLeyco yeah I don't blame you. Sad to see you leave but I hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you for your video! This has been helpful for me to plan ahead and consider future ABSN programs!
I'm glad! I think the ABSN program was right for me! Congrats on your future journey towards becoming a nurse!
I just started my channel so watching these types of videos are inspiring
"Anything above $0 and 0 cents is an upgrade." Thanks fro breaking down how your channel started and how you got monetized even showing the screenshare of your youtube analytics and talkong about the google ad sense. Breaking down how much you get paid on long form content vs short form, cpm vs rpm. Lots of valuables information you took the time out to make a vidoe about. Greatly appreciate it.
Boston is a nightmare. I’ve been here a year and the job market sucks for non-white people. This city is designed and built for whites.
Boston here 💠🤍✨🩵
0:23 Grew up in the Boston area. Moved to Indianapolis In '96. Soooooooo glad I did. Boston: VERY EXPENSIVE TRAFFIC SUCKS WINTER SUCKS Indy: Much better.... Should have moved sooner. Would NEVER in No Way Ever move back to New England. Also: If you're AT ALL a conservative person. You'll hate Mass. Massholes are very liberal.
Great video as always!! Could you possibly make a video on how to cover expenses throughout nursing school in your experience? Any work experience(s) during nursing school? I'm looking to apply into a couple accelerated nursing programs in Boston but it's one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!! They have been helpful!! :)
Thank you so much! I'm actually planning a video sort of encompassing those topics soon!
If you got hired at a major hospital in Massachusetts they pay for your nursing school.
She is 100 percent right about move in date. Husband is developer. Better off in Quincy surrounding cities Burroughs. They are even still expensive
You can’t live in Boston if you don’t make $100,000 or more. As young lady said roommates maybe. In heart of city it’s $4,000 a month so $1,000 a bedroom. 😊
This would have been more helpful if you included visuals of the areas with your talking being a voiceover.
I really don’t know how this lady does it… but my food bill alone is $250 a week. And $2400 for 500 sqft is painful. But insightful video. I think in Boston on your own you need at least $130K gross minimum.
Hi I just want to ask is 90k annual salary ok to live in Boston?
Definitely!
@@HadelLynnLeyco i will be working near south station. where is the best place to rent? I prefer solo rent and where can i buy filipino food in boston?
sdfsfd
One of the good things about Boston is if you make $60 k a year you qualify for welfare. Massachusetts will pay for your Healthcare. It’s called MassHealth.
hi! sorry for the late comment but do you know how good their business school is? is it prestigious and/or has good networking connections? Because I know UCSD is really stem focused and research based
I've recently discovered your RUclips channel, and it has been very helpful for me. I'm planning an internship in Boston, so your videos are helping me a lot. Thank you so much 😊
