What I’ve learnt from surfing that might apply to this is the that if you see a wave that’s about to crash on you just try and get over it and also to try and get out you could use a rip.
One of the funniest videos on RUclips. Your mate clutching that rope as you head out in attempt to “hold the front up” is pure comedy. Jesus Christ you boys are lost.
I praise my lucky stars that I was able to crew and drive rubberduckies at surf clubs in all sorts of conditions, the only time I was shitting myself was around +10ft waves. The launch you guys were attempting needed a bit more coordination, you also had the right idea about riding behind a wave to get up to the beach
Good driving mate. That happened to me once and I repeat once. The ride back in after we aborted was the scariest. I looked over my left shoulder at a 2-3 metre wave right above me and I literally shit. Yous did well to hold it together and not panic.
I know exactly how this would feel and its not good 😂been kayaking off the beach a few times with big waves, its good bloody fun but can get sketchy real quick, can imagine how much more nerve racking it is in a tinny with all your gear loose inside too hahaha good stuff mate
You could do with a Kapten Boat Collar! Got the 20HP EFi on my 4m tinny and love it! My first trip out was in December in England, in similar conditions albeit much fkn colder!
Hahah for sure mate. Yeah they’re a bloody good motor. Can’t go wrong. I moved up north to get away from the cold. I don’t know how you guys survive over there 😂
Thats totally doable lads, just do it more and get used to it. Train with no gear in the boat so u can become familiar with beach launching. its just timing, get out there
@@twsthewanderers because in bali there are no boat ramps, so beach launching is standard. It’s really simple n easy after you understand what u can actually get out through. Timing and being ready to go once in the boat. Ur engine must be primed and ready first pull. Ur partner always pointing the nose to the swell, if u keep the nose towards the swell and help lift it up when the wave hits ur pretty fine. U will look back and think that’s a piece of cake once you do it often. Then the adventure level up hard 😉
@@twsthewanderers I’m running a 3.5 m inflatable with fiberglass hull , 15hp. Cool little boat. I’m about to swap it for a 4m dart or 4.20 dory. The dart is still quite light, sick little boat that u can still drag around when u need too on the sand. So good having a tinny for adventures hey
If those are 10 foot swells then I've got a 12 inch crank.
You’re a lucky man 😂
@twsthewanderers he doesnt have a 12inch crank because that swell wasnt 10ft, the joke went straight over your head just like those 10footers hey 🤦
Sit on the back of the wave when headed inshore boys. Not infront of it

This is like watching two of the three stooges trying to launch a boat 😅
Waves are like 1 ft that's about as calm as beach launching gets. Harden up boys
At the end it like 10 ft
You’re really cool mate
@@apemaster6976😂😂😂
This one time, at band camp 🙄
I'm offended you thought I may be offended! Hehe good work fellas.

Hahaha, well said mate. We can relate heavily to this! 🤣We were cool on the outside but our insides were under attack!
Lol holding the nose of a metal boat up that just too funny. Impossible but funny
We learned the hard way 😂
Yeah nah that was sketch! 😂 glad you made it back in safe
got me cracking up, bloody love it
You learn from experience. I am still trying to figure out how I can try this at home! 🤣👍
Good on you got having a go.
Definitely the first time you’ve launched in surf.
You could have done yourself a mischief lol
Hahah she certainly was mate! 🤣
Very lucky to come out of it unscathed haha
Had a good laugh boys 😂 classic
Hahahh thanks brother. Can look back and laugh now.. wasn’t so funny at the time! 🤣🤣
You can’t hold the boat up when standing in it 😂
All a bit of fun 😊
Hahah. I love it. I can see a mate and I doing the exact same thing.
She was a wild ride man 🤣
I know exactly how this would feel and its not good 😂been kayaking off the beach a few times with big waves, its good bloody fun but can get sketchy real quick, can imagine how much more nerve racking it is in a tinny with all your gear loose inside too hahaha good stuff mate
When expectations meet ability. Makes for a good laugh, glad you survived your adventure.
Hahaha, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Thanks mate. Glad to be here 😂
So wheres the ten foot swells?
Mate when you tried talking to the bloke while he was pissing😂
I forgot about that snipet mate! Always a good laugh to look back on! 😂
Nice vid 💯

All the gear and no idea
This was so funny do you guys have a tiktok ?by any chance
Not as of yet man. Will be creating one soon. I’ll let you know when I’ve created the account! 🤙🏽
@@twsthewanderers Ight cheers man
maybe try installing a 1100gallon bilge pump that will help with water ingress
Yeah sketchy as fuck , a mate and I flipped and sank a 16ft about 1 k out from Sussex inlet and almost died .
I know the feeling
This was a good watch.
Thanks mate, hopefully some NT content on its way 🤙🏽
Good on ya fellas at least your having a crack at it not like the viewers hay
Reminds me of one time at KI

Joined cause dont want tp miss these clowns lol
Aussie accent spot on. Faaarrrkkk
Hahahhahah
Love the enthusiasm, but fark me u blokes are green! Probably best u stick to the Murray 😂
The Murray?! I’d be sticking to the bathtub if I were these half wits. Classic example of what not to do.
"Do not try this at Home !" 🤣🤣🤣 Not much surf in my street 🙄
Legit 2ft waves .. you cannot beach launch a boat if 10 foot sets are rolling into a beach
that's the good life 👌
yeah I'm going to launch my boat in my home
🤣🤣😂😂😂 sooo good haha!
Thanks brother. She was an interesting day out! 😂

Yeah we were certainly inexperienced at that point haha. Thanks legend, she was a ripping experience. 🤙🏾

the ol quinny 370 explorer is a fuckin amazing boat
Fuck me! All the gear & no idea😂
Did you ever consider yourselves to be a pair of big eejuts?
Yes.. yes we did.
Maximum 2-3ft.
imagine how big their fish must be with calls like that pmsl
is this a joke?
There is something wrong with your tape measure
You fellas need to come down sth off the 90 mile and learn from the locals.........
A couple of statistics waiting to happen!
And they will expect everyone else to come and rescue them 🤦♀️
10ft swell? some where I guess.
Most Aussie launch ever
Just, wait for this...*deep sigh*...fuck
Agreed mate hahah
@@twsthewanderers hahaha solid effort bro

1ft day, easy.
If they are 10 foot swells you have some bloody good weed
Seriously ???

No even 6ft
