Stevie with the perfect 20/20 hearing, perfectly heard in 2020.
For Sure!!!
Don't sleep on "Do I Do" by Stevie Wonder
This song was a tribute Duke Ellington one of the greatest black band leaders of all time, one of Duke songs is (You can take the A Train). Check it out.
That was a masterpiece one of my faves.
This song was written in tribute to the late great Duke Ellington 189-1974. Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington was a composer, pianist an Jazz orchestra leader/conductor.
Interesting.
The most underrated part of Stevie’s music was his bass lines...his bass player was off the chain!
This is one of those songs that you just can't keep still when it's playing. Pure genius
Sir Duke, I Wish and As from this album are of my favorites.. I might add that Songs in The Key of Life is a masterpiece
You're just beginning a wonderful journey....I hope you continue.
Have you been to public place, watched a film(movie, das kino, cinema),watched tv seventies music is played everywhere as it's inoffensive the very late 70s not so much
Stevie wonder - everything from the 70s is incredible! The best run of albums in the 70s (on par with Bowie) 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love it when you just sit back, relax and enjoy the song ,instead of being so concerned about who may have "sampled"/stolen the groove for another song! LET,s focus on the creators and innovators like STEVIE WONDER, not the pretenders of today!good reaction!
Every song you hear from him just bow down, he's the greatest.
Stevie!!!! The living legend. One of the greatest lyricists and musicians ever. You know I always have a suggestion 😆. Check out Stevie Wonder “Rocket Love”. Seriously, just listen to the lyrics to that song, man. Stevie is a GOAT and Rocket Love is my all time favorite song by Stevie. His lyricism is unmatched. Smokie Robinson does come close as a lyricist though.
Stevie is a GENIUS. This song is a tribute to Duke Ellington and other black artists from years ago who opened doors. When Songs In The Key of Life was released Stevie picked up an armful of Grammys. He won in every category where he was nominated. And imagine, he signed his first recording contract with Motown at the age of 11. Genius.
"So far this album has been incredible"..... Yep, but the best songs are to come. That's how good it is!
This song is Stevie giving homage and respect to all of the black artists from the 30s/40s big band era....Stevie was smart enough at a young age to know that without these pioneers of the past it would be no Stevie....again Stevie is playing all the instruments on this song and EVERY song on this album
It was to artists of the earlier era, he also mentioned Glen Miller the bandleader of the 1940s who was contemporary of Satchmo Ellington and Basie.
Stevie only played Fender Rhodes, and percussion on "Sir Duke"
Drums - Raymond Pounds, Bass - Nathan Watts, Lead guitar- Michael Sembello, Rhythm guitar - Ben Bridges, Alto saxophone - Hank Redd, Tenor saxophone - Trevor Lawrence, Trumpets - Raymond Maldonado and Steve Madaio. Other songs on the album featured Greg Phillinganes, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, Dean Parks and too many others to name. "If It's Magic" played by Harpist - Dorothy Ashby.
In that decade Stevie and EWF alternated #1 singles/albums....
Love music! The husband and I enjoyed this album when we were young. 3 toddlers in the house. They still enjoy Stevie in their forties and fifties.🥰🥰🥰
That's awesome!
I know this comment is many months later, but in case you still read "oldies":
The "Ella" he refers to is Ella Fitzgerald -- absolutely a one-of-a-kind song stylist -- check her out! (Also the "Sir Duke" is Duke Ellington, a great big band music leader/composer/performer.)
I was 13 in 7th grade when this came out and still remember hearing it on the radio for the first time. Man oh man, sent my soul soaring back then and still does today.
Viva la buena música, 👋👋👋👋👋👋te sigo desde Zaragoza (España) 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
That thumbnail 😂
😂😂😂😂
😂
😂😂😂 You're on you way now kid! 💲😂
lol, I did it just to see how you guys react to them! I don't like the look of them but apparently they get you a lot of views.
@@JustJammin Yup! It works. Got my attention even quicker.
Hip Hop Blender mine too 🤣🤣
This track and Master Blaster are my favourite Stevie tunes, that's hard to choose as the man is an absolute musical legend and genius with so many great hits
Impossible to listen to this song and not smile. Legend
I'm still bumping this too. Timeless Stevie the Wonder
Stevie wonder pure class...
A legend truly one of the greatest artists of music
My favorite stevie song, great reaction❤️
Incredible tribute to Duke Ellington.
Songs from the key of life is a musical masterpiece. I first heard it around 1978 - 79. I still keep it in a playlist of it's own 🥰🥰💙💙 Stevie Wonder.
Oh yeah! Remember this song. What a way to express music. This is unbelievable track! Stevie wonder it’s a talented Musician vocalist and songwriter. Loved your comments on this reaction. Yes it’s insane!
🎼🎹🎷🎺🎸
Well, the thumbnail did get me as to which video to watch next. But, it was a bit disappointing that it was not your actual reaction. Perhaps you should make a few cropped pics of different emotions so that you can use the one that best fits (like 'thumbs up' or stroking your chin with a raised eyebrow etc). With sooo many people coming here either to reminisce, or see a young man find out, and enjoy, what real music is, there's never been a need for click bait with your channel 👍
God bless, and be safe. Excelsior!
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the thumbnails either. I'd say it was more of an experiment.
@@JustJammin ......FAIL...lol...im just messing with you...just be yourself....i hate seeing these other reactor's thumbnail with the contorted faces....i mean dont do all that extra ish....just give a honest reaction of what you think of a song.....nothing more or nothing less
This song is just pure joy.
When I was in high school, our concert band played this song! They were pretty bad, but they made a good effort!😊
Greatest album of all time with words (Miles Davis “Kind of Blue” is greatest overall
to this day that whole album stands amongst the greatest ever assembled!
The horns at the beginning were sampled at the start of After Hours by Tribe
Music royalty.
Stevie wrote all the songs except one if I'm not mistaken. Check out Isn't She Lovely
This thumbnail🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
People love it when you seem shocked and appalled, lol!
ALWAYS LOVE!!!!!
Legendary! Good reaction bro
Big up!
