I have grown VERY fond of Hollow Front ever since my first reaction to Comatose. Which still owns my Riff of the Year 🏆🎸, thus far.. Awesome album review!
Thick as blood is probably one of four songs that made me cry in my lifetime that message hidden beneath the lyrics is so touching especially when you followed their precious material.
This album was really solid! Some great songs though it will take me more listens to evaluate the flow. Thanks for the reaction I’m a Grand Rapids resident so cool to see them get the coverage. I think thick as blood and changeling are my early favorites.
In general I don‘t really know if I find that positive or not when people say „this gives me erra vibes“ or „this band reminds me of that band“ - For me I listened to every Hollow Front Album since the beginning and I maybe checked out like 3-4 tracks from Erra in total. I really like Erra so far, but Hollow Front is a bit more something for me. So Sometimes I‘m thinking that people are saying that this band is „copying“ that band with „this sounds like xy“ „this is so xy“, but maybe bands just like certain subgenres and guitar riffs or styles. For me I really like those melodic „unique“ For the Fallen Dreams riffs and I would directly listen to every other band who does that. Sorry just my unsorted thoughts at the moment 😅 @Rachelle, great music taste you have, great person you are, and yet again another great reaction! I‘m following you since almost the beginning, but most of the time I‘m a quiet listener in the background :) keep in on with the good work. Cheers
That was a very enjoyable album. Nothing too crazy just some very solid metalcore! I think Changeling and Running Away were my two favourite non-singles on the album. It's going to be very difficult to find time to listen to all of this year's awesome music. Another great reaction Rach!
