The situation aside, why are some people so careless? Why sleep with your ex so mindlessly? Some of the people act like little teenagers and not like adults.

If we are saying that, we can also say, why sleep with someone without being married? The Western countries are so okay with everything that they fail to realize that this is why they have all these issues.
I am biased in this matter as I am from a religious country, family, and mindset. But just think about it a lot of these happen just because they choose to sleep with anyone, they want for that very reason sex with someone special is nonexistent/nonexclusive to them. [Will point out its not that these things don't happen in there or anything but it's not the same frequency or messy]

Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird when someone breaks up with someone because they don’t want to get married and have kids, and then gets together with someone new, and then proposes much quicker (like in half the time)? It’s always kind of bugged me. Maybe because it feels like they weren’t fully honest about everything… I know things can change, but it always just seems like it would suck to be the one broken up with for reasons that don’t even apply anymore… Idk…

I venture to say that this thing isn't over by a long shot. OOP might never come back with an update, but my romantic side thinks that he might be the one for her and she is the one for him. He is obviously a dumbass, but they are young. And she, i defer it from her words, is still not done with him. I only hope he doesn't mess it all up again and steps up to be a man and father.

From everything I can see he said he didn't want a child because he still has problems from his childhood with his dad and he was afraid of being similar which led to them breaking up. He later gets a girlfriend but they break up and he slept with her after he broke up with his girlfriend but he gets back with his girlfriend and says I still love you but I love her as well so to not do anything regretful "don't contact me on this you're dying" translate to saying "please don't contact me unless it's serious."
Now that the child is involved he is working on himself to make sure that he can be there for his child I get over his problems that doesn't sound like a liability.

I get the feeling that Jeff's going to try to be more involved than OP is comfortable with, and that will lead to discussions about custody. Jeff has shown that he's gotten invested in his child to the point of breaking off his engagement and most definitely would be willing to cause strain on the already iffy relationship between himself and OP if it meant being more of a father. Maybe that's a bit too cynical, though. I really do hope and pray for the best of results for all three of them, regardless. Neither of the parents of the baby seem like ill-intended individuals.
I feel, all things considered, both people behaved relatively reasonably. Her questionable behavior was based around doing what he told her to do combined with the fact he didn't want kids. His behavior is reasonable because he had trauma. If there was an update saying that he was putting in the work so his trauma didn't impact him so severely, then i would really stand by my view. If he doesn't get help, then his behavior isn't reasonable anymore.

There will be tears before bedtime. I really do hope all goes well, but I feel this will end up a total sh¡tshow. It goes from no contact to him moving to live in the same area as OP, in a matter of a few weeks. It'll be Jeff moving in with OP to 'better coparent' and be leaving her to do everything as if she's the wife. What happens when the baby is born, and the novelty has worn off for Jeff, the late nights, and constant crying, or OP realised she wants to date other people?? There's going to be all the pressure from both families to get back together, even if they only want to coparent, and not be a couple. And all those Reddit morons telling her she had to tell Jeff about the baby...no, she didnt, she had her legit reasons. If she really had wanted him to know, she would have told him, because now it's not just Jeff she's up against, it's the both whole families if she's later forced to marry Jeff, because she's not in love, and wants to marry someone else.

I think Grace dodged a bullet. Jeff jumped right back into the sack with OP once they broke up the first time. Even admitted he still had feelings for OP. Coupled with his abandonment issues, that marriage was going to sink like the Titanic sooner or later. It sucks her proposal git torpedoed like it did but that was set into motion by Jeff's actions of fooling around with OP. Pregnancy news was gonna suck regardless of when she heard it. At least for right now, any relationships Jeff is going to have are gonna be behind the 8 ball. He is too indecisive and insecure to properly commit to anything and marriage isn't something you should just jump into. Grace clearly saw the red flags and I'm sure the issues stemming from the pregnancy news were just the tipping point. Good for her, I'm sure she can find someone better.

She's not despicable or cruel. He was cutting ties with her, moving on, and never wanted kids. In her eyes, telling him his biggest fear while messing up his future was a much bigger issue than a baby she was gonna love. She was doing him a favor, and when she goes 6 months alone on a pregnancy, yeah, I think she has dibs on her own baby she's growing.

The guy is a massive piece of shit. He lied to her, when breaking up. Used her as a piece of meat after second break up and then ran back to the other woman again and proposed to her. And after that massive knife in his ex's back had audacity to want to be part of her life.
Tbf, he did say he didn’t want children. And also told her to not contact him unless she was dying about a week after they last hooked up. To her, it probably seemed like he not only didn’t want to talk to her anymore, but probably especially now that he had kids. Especially since that was the reason he broke it off with her in the first place. If anything, she didn’t say anything to help him.
Also, she probably had no intention to lie to him if he asked. But probably had no intention to share that information for no reason. She also never asked for any money and was going to let the baby know about his father, and to tell them he wasn’t a deadbeat (which was his fear)… Idk. I don’t think she did anything wrong by not telling him since she would know him better than we do.
