Im 7 years late! but excellent video. I want to build a remote ATu for 13m long( 2x 6.5m al tubes)rotating dipole. Switched from the shack using larger inductors to dissipate heat and higher Q. Maybe for 1kw ssb. I thought of doing same with thermal camera. I will also measure loss through ATU using a reactive dummy load in a calorimeter.

What abut the relays? They looked quite warm.
Not really. 200mW of the relay coil causes the temperature to increase of about 10 °C. The camera showed 26 °C for OFF relays and 36 °C for ON relays.
