  • Pressure washing tarmac can be tricky and end up looking really bad leaving lines and strips if you don't do it correctly. In this video I go through nozzle choices, flat surface cleaner techniques, and washing down after cleaning to get the best results.

    Great job and helpful info, Cheers. Did you ever do a walk round of the finished PW van or is it still a work in progress?

    Awsome job Dave. Ive got 2 quick questions. What surface cleaner size would you recommend for a 15lpm, 13hp machine? When buying nozzles you have the option for angle and orifice size as well whats does that mean?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  4 месяца назад

      What I’ve heard is that it’s roughly 1” of FSC to 1litre/min but I may be wrong on that. Best thing to do is ring up someone like PWS and ask for advice
      With the nozzle the angle is the size of the fan so a 15° fan is a lot narrower then a 45°
      The orifice size will depend on the amount of water your pressure washer produces and at what pressure it pushes it out. There are charts that show the nozzle size that you need

    Hey dave, great work as always. Just a quick question.
    What bar pressure were you running the machine at if you had 40° nozzles in? Im assuming you still turn it down to around 100bar (2/3 revs)?

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  4 месяца назад +1

      It’s about half revs but running at 200 bar to get plenty of water on it

    • @aaronadams6774
      @aaronadams6774 4 месяца назад

      That surprised me actually...(200bar on tarmac), but I bet that's related to the higher flow rate of your machine so you need more pressure compared to a 21lr machine in order to make it spin smoothly..

    • @aaronadams6774
      @aaronadams6774 2 месяца назад

      Or is it because the wider jets distribute the pressure more eventually at 40° so you can have more pressure.. just way way heard to run around 100bar for tarmac
      Got my first tarmac job this morning, and I have 40s in the fsc for it so just wondering what pressure I can get away with on it.... It's a 21lr 200bar machine

      It’s good to ask a reputable supplier that knows the trade or watch experience someone like Jake Smout when he does his RUclips live stream on a Monday evening
