Did you get any video footage of the Group 7 cars, or the 917K racing? I would have liked to attended, but the admission was pretty expensive I thought. As always I enjoy your video channel!👍
Yes. I did. I saw a doozy on the first lap on Saturday. Gunnar drove the white and blue 0 917 with cookie cutter exhaust pipes. Most different sounding 917 I’ve ever heard. But the 917k that Mccallister had brought #21 didn’t run that day. Chris M drove his McLaren m8f. I’ll put that video up soon. Thank for watching Greg. Have you heard my podcast ? Yes, that's how I started following your racing reports is through your podcasts. Then you started your video channel, and I started just following that. Both are excellent!😁👍 Yes, I am looking forward to your posting of McAllister racing Denny Hulme's M8F...pure, unadulterated "eye candy" that car is! It's hard to believe that car was racing in 1970...still good looking and modern. One of these days someone that owns one of the M20 cars will bring that to the track, as I would love to see that. I've never seen a M20 race in any posted videos from anyone. I have never seen Hulme's #5 M8F at Sears Point, or a 917K for that matter, I have to drive down to Laguna Seca to see them in the past. If I can catch them at Sears Point it is better as it is a much shorter drive from the Bay Area. I have actually met you before at turn #2 at Sears Point maybe 5 years ago? Thanks for doing what you do, as I can't get to the track as often, so you are my eyes and ears!
Thank you so much! Chris or possibly his son Alex actually had a engine issue with his M8F at turn 2 and needed a tow. I think turn 2 is the best viewing spot at Sears Point. @@infrequentgamer_greg
Can Am video is up. Prices were highway robbery. But after thinking more about the price it was a bit more fair than I thought. Mr Producer got in for free when I paid 110.00 for the saturday ticket. The cars that were there were so perfect. @@infrequentgamer_greg
I watched it...excellent video!👍😁 I was supraised with the problem with M8F at turn #2...it looked like he was going to roll backwards...that would have been a bad scene, if he did. (Was that Chris McAllister? He has in the past worn a replica of Denny Hulme's helmet). $110...yeah, pretty steep for Sears Point...that's more like Rennsport Reunion territory. Some of the reasons I didn't attend either of these events! I saw one of your other videos with the start-up of the F1 McLaren...did they actually set up their own tent in the paddock? Whew, those folks sure didn't compromise for this event (probably part of the reason the admission was so high)! Great work on your part...always enjoy your video (and audio) posts.
Ok...I listened to your podcast and got the full story on the McLaren tent. You made some good points with Senna's car being driven by Kanaan. 👍 Hmmm maybe I will save up $110 for next year, and attend.🤔

Any clips of the carbon fiber 1967 GT500 on track?
F1 McLaren cars were in the Audi Experience garages close to the footbridge over turn 1.
