I've got to tell you Ear, your videos get better and better for the old racing fans, like this one. Love the pit interviews and the prep that the vintage racers go through before their race. I'm an old track day guy driving Corvettes at Laguna, Sears and Thunder Hill. Your videos bring back all the excitement I felt before going on track. Thanks for all you videos.

Hi say what is name brand of that radio in this car. I have the 2004 is300 radio not work anymore. Also i got a bad smell coming when i turn on the fan. Thinking fan got mold on it

no RENAULT 16 showed in the thumbnail..??!!..not really a race car but the TS with its 80 hp on double carbs & 900 kgs was a great car on twisties...with modern shocks & tires i could see it on any track ,no problem..!

amazing..i'd be curious though, to know why these guys don't seem to be interested in using modern tires & brake disks/pads...at 4.53..this non ventilated/plain disk could be easily replaced by a modern version to optimise the braking power & reliability..maybe it goes with having the same braking feeling & sensation of 50+ years ago..!!

Thank you for this. Last year I was able to take my kids to this. They enjoyed themselves immensely even on the one day we went. I had forgotten when it was and they got excited when I mentioned it to them only to realize I had missed it by a week. Now I have something to show my son and my daughter of what went on there. I’m sure they will recognized some of the participants. But now I’ve got more, as my son calls them, ‘neato old cars’ to show them. I wish we’d been there to see those Maseratis!

Nicely done! It was a great weekend, but since I was busy driving and fixing broken cars (mine and another), I didn't get a chance to walk around the paddock or watch much racing, so this video is great.

The 935 is my absolutely favorite car of all times. I had no idea of the placement of the intercoolers. Fun to see even on this car checking for intake leaks and giving those 13mm nuts an extra little crank. Great to see and hear all those 2002s and Alfas on the track.

F1 McLaren cars were in the Audi Experience garages close to the footbridge over turn 1.

Lots of memories with the CanAm cars back in the day. I saw most all those cars run in the late 60's and early 70's at Laguna Seca and also at Sears. Got to meet Denny Hulme and Peter Revson at one of the races at Laguna. Back in those days there was no Andretti hair pin, these cars would come out of turn 9 (which is now turn 11) and pedal down all the way up the hill to the Cork Screw. Thanks for all your videos, really enjoy them.

This idle could load intake with fuel. No big smoke so perfect tuning.

Testing for intake leaks I guess. Runs awesome at idle. Should make 700+hp

I could be wrong but is that just one exhaust connected from both sides of the engine into one tip and the wastegate next to it ? Or am I trippn it seems like two different exhausts 🤷🏽‍♂️

Great video Racing Ear. Wow you guys saw and talked to some really great legends in motor sports. What a fun time that had to be for you and I'm assuming your son. I saw many of those cars run back in the day at Laguna. I stared going to that track back in 1962, many changes at the track since then. I was also able to do some HPDE track days driving a 98 Camaro and two Corvettes. Times I will never forget. Always enjoy your videos. Thanks

Hey Racing Ear, are you doing some karting? I have gone past that sign on HWY 50 many times thinking that there is a karting track out there some where. I was a karter back in the day, racing 80 cc shifter karts and 125 shifters as well. We would race at the tracks in Stockton, Atwater and Sear Point. Lots of fun, now 75 years of age, that's a little bit much for these old bones. If you are karting, have a blast.
