I found it easier to sub the brackets to the running board first. Trying to hold a flat washer, and lock washer while trying to start a small nut in a tight spot was time consuming. After installing one side by instructions, I did the other subbing up and holding the board up and temping a large bolt in the bottom nut. After that I was able to use a battery ratchet to temp the other bolts. I was on the floor for the second board about 15 minutes.

This video was a big help. The black and white instructions can be ambiguous but after watching this the installation was easy! Thanks!
