I really didn't think this would work, but I was home on a weekend and suddenly my work phone screen went to black, and when I tried to turn it on or plug it in to charge it, it was frozen on the apple logo. Tried calling my phone from my personal cell and it would not turn on, so was freaking out! I googled what to do if iphone is stuck on apple logo, followed the steps above, and HOLY MOLY, it WORKED!!! Thank you for saving the weekend for me, and for saving me the hassle of going to IT tomorrow at work and my boss saying that phone isn't working! KUDOS!!!

I spent all day trying to find a fix for this everywhere on google etc. I was running both OSX and windows installing programs on both without getting any luck. Tried this and fixed it in 2 minutes... I thought it was bs but after all I went through I gave it a go and it worked! Thanks a lot

You deserve a medal. Look all over Reddit / Google for a fix to my Jailbroken 8.4 iPhone 6 that got in a reset loop. Did not want to force update to 9.2 without Jailbreak.

This actually worked perfectly for me on my iPhone 5, and I only had to hold down the plus button for about 30 seconds. My phone was stuck on the apple logo for 3 hours -- I did this and it worked right away.

Years ago my iPod touch stopped working and and the iTunes logo would be the only thing that would pop up I took it to the apple store and the the guy told me it was done and it was time for a new one. Years go by and then today I found your video and tried the exact same thing you did in the video and it worked Thank you so much for making this.
Tried once and it worked. I accidentally released the volume button after about 2 mins, as I am about to repeat the procedure again, the home screen just appeared. Thanks!!!

This didn't work for me... I've an iPhone 4 and I just recently did an Update to 7.0.4 and now I get an apple logo ON and OFF isn't and steady logo.... the pressing power and home button doesn't work because while you're pressing both buttons at the same time logo continues on and off for seconds Any suggestions? any Help? *I FIXED* MINE ALREADY I find the solution
ok This is what I did, I open iTunes it asked me update my Version so I did, Then I connect my Phone (Phone it keeps on and off) My itunes didn't recognize my phone that is ok. I press Home button and Lock at the same time for 10 seconds *count* apple logo will go off and as soon it come back release Home and lock button and press both again and don't release them until iTunes recognize the phone from there you have the option to restore or upgrade I did the upgrade I had all my files in iClould so when started everything was there. and *IS NOT* the battery someone owns me 12dls

Thanks! It worked! This replacement iPhone 5 is only 2 weeks old (my previous one battery expanded so Apple replaced it). This new one has been heating up. But it was off when I woke up. Then the logo appeared. Your solution turned it back on. Thank you very much!

Yeah it works but! I think the freeze apple logo are the capacity on your iPod are too small, I have 1,9 GB too... But Im not sure that I have right but I think that is the problem.
when i upgraded it to ios8 my ipod started to crash and it is pretty anoying cause im like looking at my pictures, u know, deleting the not impotant and it turns off and on/aka reboot. do you know why this happens?

Gabriel Osorio Hmm... sorry... I have 1.6GB left on my 64GB ipod. I think I have movies to over 30 GB on it. I usually and delete some of the films, and then it takes time to delete them, sometimes it hangs up .. But I dont know :S

Olav Sollid If you're having the same issue as me then you get writing on the screen too? It's a NAND error and I think it's either due to battery problems or water damage. I sent it to a shop for repair anyway

I changed the font and respring my iPod and that shit stuck forever. (Jailbroken iPod)

Yes. I plugged the iPod to my computer and open iTunes.
In the iTunes, I updated my iPod 4G to the latest version (6.1.5)
Once it's finish updating the iPod started normally and now it's working without any problem ;)

pj moon First you have to restore the iPod on iTunes and it may automatically update to latest version. (I forgot cuz it was kind of long while ago)

I was just going to toss it but I thought I'd try one more time and it worked! No idea what I did differently this time,
Thanks this worked! I was loading a game and it went to the apple screen which never happened before. So I did what you said.
Press and hold BOTH the top POWER button and the bottom HOME button at the same time until the screen flashes, release them both and then press and hold the UP VOLUME button for a few minutes until it shows your normal screen. It took maybe 2-3 minutues holding the up volume for me before it fixed it. Thanks!

Didn't need to hold my plus for that long held it for 5 secs let it go of it and it come on by its self after about 10 secs

I worked on this persistently for quite a while, repeating the steps. Eventually, I did get past the reboot stage and recovered my iPod Touch. Every time it opted out on me I started back at the beginning. Persistence, diligence, even endurance is what’s needed, but as the video suggests, it does work.
Additional note, instead of trying to hold the button for a long time I pressed it against a hard object to keep it on. Saves the fingers.

I plug my iPod into the computer and it doesn't even recognize it!! Hell I've done this at least 30 times and I hold it for so long and my finger gets tired but I still hold it there then after about 4-5 minutes or so it TURNS OFF! The logo disappears and then I have to do the process all over again and it repeats by doing the same thing!!

Yes unfortunately, they had to wipe and erase my iPad! They said it was "the only way around it" so hopefully your outcome turns out better than mine. But you should take it to the Apple Store. I think the reason this happened is because my iPad is an older iPad mini, so the only way to bring it back was to erase the memory :-/
