How do you like it? Make sure to add oil if you want it to last long, and you might have to replace the spring after a year of use. It's been awesome working for me and my many projects.

Thanks for the comment at the end. I was wondering about using this to aid in tree removal too. Makes sense that it should be able to break through roots.

After using mine on tree roots I found it wasn’t all that effective. The roots just bounced with the chisel. It was great for loosening the dirt around the stump though n

The owners manual says not to use too much oil, but it does not give you an oil capacity. How do you know how much oil to put in it?

Are you wondering what type of oil is needed? I found a small sticker on mine saying hydraulic # 46 oil

What's the difference between this one and the black one. Looks like same specs but $6 dollar difference

is it normal that the air outlet (that round black vent) gets pretty hot?

  • @Tanquen

Where do you find the ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil for this in a 1qt or less?
Not sure if you can sub other oils:
SAE and ISO use two different scales to measure viscosity. SAE 10W is equivalent to ISO 32, SAE 20 is equivalent to ISO 46 and 68, and SAE 30 is equivalent to ISO 100. As you can see, there is a bit of a difference between ISO 68 and SAE 30.
Compressor oil and hydraulic oil are not the same. They are designed for different applications and have different properties that make them suitable for their respective uses.
Compressor oil is specifically formulated for use in air compressors. It is designed to lubricate the moving parts of the compressor and provide sealing and cooling functions. Compressor oil typically has additives to prevent oxidation and to improve lubrication under high temperatures and pressures.
Hydraulic oil, on the other hand, is used in hydraulic systems to transmit power. It is designed to transfer power and lubricate the moving parts of hydraulic machinery, such as hydraulic pumps, motors, and cylinders. Hydraulic oil has properties that allow it to flow easily through hydraulic systems, provide lubrication, and withstand high pressures and temperatures.

These bunch of whiners complain too much they could break that concrete slab with a carpenter`s hammer. Then do it! I was trying to remove a 2-inch asphalt with a lot of cracks already due to its 20-plus years for a few days using a hammer and crowbar and gave up. Bought this to do the job.

  • @lucasarielbarrera7313

You did that thin cement to do the video, is not concrete, because is with out grabel, that way is very easy to bracket, you can brack it with a carpenter hammer.
Do an other video with real 4 inch concrete.
