  • This video is showing what I did to repair the rotted front and back boards of a fleetwood popup camper. This should also apply to the sideboards. This should saved me from completely rebuilding the roof.

This is amazing...I have the same exact camper and was ready to give up on the roof repair. I watched some horrific roof restorations that I know I cant do but you explained it so thoroughly....I am especially encouraged by the way the sides are structured and how the lifts are attached. Thanks so much!

Great job. I may have to do this eventually. My end panels have a minor issue like this but I'll seal before it gets too bad. Nice to have an alternative, thanks.

Thank you for this video! I need to do the same repair. What was the thickness of the aluminum plate that you used?

great instructional vid. Add me to the list of folks about to tackle the same job. A few questions. Did you remove the top from the camper? I don't have the manpower to do that. If you left it on the camper, what did you use to support it? Thanks.

Thanks! No I did not remove the top at all. I’m too lazy. lol. As far as support I never took the risers off. Just cranked it up and did the interior work with the plates then closed it up and did the outside while it was on. Hopefully that helps

I got mine for a metal supply in St. Louis MO called Shapiro Metals Supply. Don’t know where you are but check if there are any metal supply places around you or if there is a metal fabrication shop around you. If metal fab see if they will tell you where they get their metal from or if they will sell you what you need. Hopefully that helps

Got the same problem with a 2004 Fleetwood Sedona. How is it holding up?

Great idea with the aluminum plates! I have a Coleman with the same exact issue and I was scratching my head trying to figure out what would work best and I stumbled on your video. This is the way I'm going to go as well. I haven't decided what I'm going to put on the top of the roof yet. I know that alot of people like the Henry's tropicool. How did the bed liner paint hold up? Thanks for the well detailed video it's appreciated!
