Girls I just love you two!!!! I was thrilled to meet you in Maine at Library Stitchers Retreat. I was at a back table and met you both at the last minutes of the retreat. I had no idea you two were there!!!! You probably don't remember you meet so many people, but I was the white haired lady with my hair up. All I could do was laugh when I met you two..... my remarks were To Shelly you do all the work and to Justine...you take all the credit!!!!! Hahahaha I have laughed ever since. You girls crack me up!!!! Thanks so much for being just the way you are. It was a thrill for me to meet you two I just wish it had been sooner!!!
I’m a little behind but what a fun episode! I can’t wait to see your G Leger starts. Thanks for stopping in and seeing us again in the Gloriana room at Market. Happy stitching!
Oh. My. GOD!!! I’ll be at Library Stitchers Retreat, too!!!! I’m so excited!!! I have G. Leger from Reflets de Soie! I have the Vicki Clayton silk conversion, happy to start that with y’all! If I’m working that weekend I’ll have to start earlier.
My closest shop is 1 & 1/2 hours away. But, we take a couple long road trips a year and I always research ahead of time to find shops along the way. Last year we got to the one in the Amana Colonies, the Backstitch in Elkader Iowa, the Country Sampler in Spring Green Wis, Stitches Unlimited in Lancaster Pa and Keepsakes in Cincinnati, Ohio (actually Sharonville). So last year I hit the mother load. This year won't be that many, but several. I enjoy you girls' videos so much!
Shelley your band sampler and Ink Circles were gorgeous! Justine I will wait patiently to see some quilting and the blanket for the grandbaby! 💞😁 I'm working on a civil war wall hanging and an old needlepoint I found in the closet! 😂 Happy stitching everyone.☺️💖
Shelly, I’d love the recipe for your martinis. After the roses is absolutely beautiful!. Please spell your start a long so I can check it out. I’m so glad I found this channel.
Beautiful needle books! Enjoy Salem, you will LOVE it!!! I have been there 3x, it is beautiful, and the history is amazing. Could you show the Glorianna Silks for your SAL? I would love to do thar piece, but the DMC does not impress me. And youi not alone. Spring was here in Chicago, and we got wintrer back. Depressing
I am sorry we won't be showing our Glorianna's, we found a conversion on the internet and changed out a couple colors, since this wasn't our whole conversion we won't be showing it, but I can tell you that we laid out the DMC colors and picked our Glorianna from those colors. Thanks for asking.
You are the only stitcher I’ve seen doing the deer in dmc. Thank You !!!! I’m up to the wreath on his neck, and have seriously been thinking about ripping it all out, only because every time someone shows it , they are doing it in the silk. You have given me the confidence to finish it. But,,,, I should have used the silk!!!
Great video! So many wonderful FFOs and finishes! Shelley, I like your idea of spinning the wheel and working 5 days on a WIP! I spin the wheel every day and stitch on something different right now but I might try the 5 day thing instead! Great video! Have fun at your retreat!
So, so happy to see your floss tube! If you can't believe how long it was in between, know that we are all waiting, hoping a notification will pop up. Thanks again for the fun and laughter.
I loved your visit. Thank you for sharing all the stitching goodness with us. Justine, I was a customer of the IL Welcome Stitchery and I am so happy that the spirit of Welcome Stitchery is alive and thriving in MN. I am planning to come to the stitching table. Remember cleaning is overrated.
So glad to see you two back!!👏👏👏. Justine, I like your thinking: if you can't find a piece of stitching, it doesn't count as a WIP 😂. Shelly, your stories about being pulled over and the two pizza debacles in Nashville cracked me up! Sounds like you two have been having lots of stitching fun over the past two months. Makes me want to hop on a plane and come out to join you for some of it! The needlebooks are gorgeous!!! Be well!!
So glad to have you girls back. I have missed you ! Love seeing all the beautiful stitching. Wow to the snowman! Yes we got 6 " of snow last weekend, and more tomorrow maybe. Why did we not get it in Winter!! Guess it is "Sprinter"! 😢 Have fun at your next Retreat, that will be fun. Happy Easter 🐰❤🐣🐤 Wish I lived closer so I could join in the fun in your shop. 😊
Beautiful stitching ladies. Justine I just finished 3 yes 3 Home is where the wreath is. One for daughter, one for DIL and one for me. I made several of the holiday O's. I love that pattern. That Loon pattern is on my to do list!
So glad to see you gals again!! Love the story about speeding 78 miles through Iowa City. LOL!!!!! I am going to join you on the G. Leger1898 Start along. I have had that chart kitted for 2 years and I am going to stitch Deb’s conversion from Country stitchers of over dyed floss. So I will be thinking about you two on Mothers Day as I start this beautiful chart. Sounds like you are going to be busy Justine with all the wonderful classes you have scheduled for the next few months. Take care my friends and have a great time at your retreat with Missy and Kathy!! Happy stitching, Lynn
So excited to know you will be at the Library Stitchers Retreat! Unless of course they keep you in Salem🤣 or you get to meet a trooper driving through NH (my home state) or ME!! Safe travels to the East coast❣️
I just visited Salem last week! I must say…I highly recommend the House of Seven Gables tour…much more than the Witch Museum actually. It’s amazing! I don’t know how long you’re stopping over in Salem…but there’s so much to do! My friends and I went there for the witchy things…but we were so pleasantly surprised at the depth of early American history we were able to enjoy. We loved our visit! 😍
It was so wonderful to see you ladies. Beautiful store models. Great to see your wips. I'll have to try to make it to your store one day I just looked it up and you're only 7 hours away. Take care and Happy Stitching.
Oh my goodness the FFOs are so inspiring! I have missed seeing you both but understand how busy you've both been. Also, congratulations Justine on a new grandbaby coming this summer!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I also look forward to meeting you at the Library Stitchers Retreat in Augusta, Maine. FYI, we got 6 to 8 inches of snow last weekend. I was in upstate New York and we got 17 inches there. It is still March and anything can happen. This year we have snow for Easter. See you in April.
You've both made me smile today. Can't wait to make a trip up to visit you....I'm from Iowa!! Hope we see you both again before you head out for another retreat!!
Obviously I can't stitch and laugh at the same time. Shelly being pulled over brought back memories of when Justine once told an officer that cross stitching wasn't everybody's cup of tea. That still cracks me up. Both of your stitched pieces are amazing, as always. And Justine, "May the odds be ever in your favor" when you visit Salem. Keep a close eye on her Shelly. Love you.
Oh my goodness I'm so sorry about your experience with Uber eats. I've had a similar experience with door dash and like most companies now either use door dash or uber eats to deliver food instead of their own company. So, instead of going into a long shpeal of how awful my experiences have been I'll just say, I don't have food delivered without looking to see who they use for their delivery service. So lovely to see you ladies again! The snowman finish is ADORABLE!
I LOVE G. Leger … started it a while ago, in Gloriana Tudor on 52/60 linen … I did the conversion because I didn’t know there was one … and like so many of my starts, it’s not finished. SO I’m going to SAL with you, I hope. Thanks for a great respite from this crazy world. Loved seeing you in Nashville. Wish you were coming to Quilter’s Station in April. I would love to stitch with you. Have a great trip to the East Coast. You two are fabulous! ❤
Jean, we can't wait for you to join us with G. Leger!! WHAT , are we supposed to finish projects - Starting them is more fun!!! It was so great to see you at Market again and what an honor it was to visit with you and Jeanine! We would love to stitch with you!!
I love your laugh, Justine! You two are so much fun and I just love stitching and listening to you both. I wouldn't mind living close to your shop except that you are experiencing winter in spring and it is so much warmer here in SC. Just move your shop down south and it will be a win win. Love seeing all your beautiful projects and finishes. I was fortunate enough to attend one of Isabella's retreats several years ago and she is the sweetest. I just love that she loves her bunnies/hares. In our photo, I look very short. Happy Stitching!
I did the WELCOME sign also with the chair on it but did it on blue fabric stitched in blue variegated thread. Not quite done it yet. It’s for a friend. I wish we would have had some snow like the western states had. We had maybe 2-3” ONCE!!!! I’m in MD. The weather has really changed in the last couple years. Have a wonderful week. Hope to see you at Stitch Con
What a lovely gift when you two popped up on my feed! Love your stories!!!!!! OMG! I spit coffee all over when Shelly wanted to ask the perimeters of “closer to 65 mph!” Thank goodness I got my head turned fast enough so it didn’t land on my cross stitch! ❤
Great to see you back. I cannot believe you are going to the library stitchers. I am driving from Canada and I will be the one fan girling you. Lol. I can't wait to meet you. I think you would be awesome to hang out with. I think you have one of the funniest flosstubes and you would be a lot of fun to stitch with. See you soon.
OMG! OMG! I am so excited to meet you both in Augusta!! I love your videos and immediately watch them when they are posted! My dream is to come to Blue Earth one day to your shop! Sorry…just a small bit of fan girling! 😂 ❤
Fun fact: I started G. Leger several years ago and purchased everything at Welcome Stitchery in Crystal Lake. Someone at the shop back then helped me choose a beautiful fabric as well as the Gentle Art flosses. This has inspired me to pick it up again. It is such a beautiful pattern that I would love to have framed and on my wall.
Nothing on TV tonight, so popped over to You Tube and what is showing up?? One of my favorite floss tube with channels with 2 of the funniest ladies. Loved all the stitching and just watching everything while stitching tonight. Boy, that time went by fast!!!
I KNOW why you didn't use Martini glasses...you get more to drink in those big ones! Thanks for a very enjoyable time together with all of the eye candy! Happy stitching!
You two ladies are just so fun to listen to!! I too have been pulled over in Iowa, and was able to get off with a warning! Justine...don't worry about Salem, there is nothing scary, just very old artifacts.
While driving through Virginia to a family wedding a few years ago, my husband, my son, and my daughter all told me that I wasn’t driving fast enough -that I had to keep up with the speed limit or above. So 1 AM in the morning I try to take advantage of the fact that there weren’t very many people on the road and drove the speed limit. Just then flashing lights behind me and a Virginia state trooper pulled over. At which point I looked over my husband and spoke to my kids and said “are you happy now”? turns out he very politely said” ma’am just wanted you to know that you have a light out on your license plate. I know it’s not something you normally could see but just wanted to alert you to it.” But not before my husband spoke profusely so that he would know that he was from the south as well and thought he’d form a kinship. If I wasn’t so ticked at them, it would’ve been funny! So I thoroughly enjoy the police pulling over both of you stories!
I am starting G Leger with you ladies! Fun fact. I was given some of the Gloriana silks for it from a lady at Stitch North last year but my chart doesn’t have the Glorianna’s on it. Good to know that I can find the silk conversion for it. 😊
I don't miss the snow.... well, maybe snow would be nicer than the snit, rain, and blowing dead leaves in my current neighborhood. Loons! Oh, yes LOONS!
I can’t wait to meet you both at The Library Stitchers retreat! We have lots of loons here in Maine too! I have them, in the river outside my house. I would love that chart….
It was nice sitting and stitching and watching you both. We have a lot of wind today. You two are hilarious. In Southern CA where I live, 78 is normal. I catch myself driving that speed quite a lot. And people are passing me on the freeway all the time. Shelly, you can come out here and drive 78 and no one will care. I love lemon drop martinis. I haven’t had one in a very long time. I need to check my supplies, I loved Small Town Needleworks Milk and Cookies. Do you carry any of their other patterns? They are really cute. I enjoyed seeing all the stitchy projects. I hope it didn’t snow as much as you said it would. It is a good excuse to stitch all day.
Yes we do have more patterns by Small Town, just go to the website (welcomestitchery.com) and search Small Town Needleworks and what we have will pop up, thanks.
Got snow yet? It has been snowing over here next door in Wisconsin. Not 6 to 10 inches though. I agree with you -- the nice winter weather has kept me from stitching more than I had hoped for. I need a 2 week snowstorm. haha Lovely stitching as always! Thanks!
🚔🚨👮♂ LOL The PSA - -slow down & pull to the left lane is actually a law here to keep the police & the one pulled over safe. Nice to only get a warning. Great pieces, nice work, fun video.
I'm with Justine ... no thank you to the witch thing Only witch I'm going to see is Elphaba in Wicked HA! I need to get that Heaven and Nature sing I love it soooo . I love the Primitive Hare Needle books!
So glad to see a new video from y'all. It is always fun visiting with you two. Hope to see another video soon. Can't wait to see your Welcome stitch for this year. It is in the 70's here i New Orleans. Tomorrow my daughter and I will be at the Irish Italian Parade here. It is a fun time catching beads and produce. We catch cabbage, carrots, garlic, potatoes, lemons, oranges, Irish Spring soap and a lot of other things. It is such a fun parade. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend, stay warm and enjoy stitching.
Hey Ladies! Are you still planning to start a SAL for G. Leger on May 12th? I’m interested in stitching if you are. I’m trying get all my “stuff” together. I love to watch y’all’s videos. It’s like sitting in a room stitching with friends!
Hi!! We would love for you to join us. This will be called a START along, as STITCH alongs tend to be the kiss of death for me!! Mother's Day might not happen, as we are waiting for some fabric to come in and it has a long lead time. We will keep you updated on our FT and Justine's Welcome Wednesday updates!
Welcome back Ladies! Sure wish I had one of those drinks! Looked so good! Great video! Beautiful stitching and finishing! What is the name of the pattern you all are starting on Mother’s Day! French name, I think?
Yes, we are taking preorders for this, and no there won't be a choice of fabric as this is stitched on The Primitive Hare fabric, if you are interested, please email us. Thanks!!
The Loon is gorgeous, I'm from New Mexico, but I love all birds. Can you please tell me what count & fabric the Twin Peaks Primatives Snowman was stitched on, I own the chart but would love it as a large stand-up as shown. Thanks Sofia
I am sorry we will not be selling the thread packs, we used what we found on the internet for a conversion and then changed a couple colors. So, it really isn't our conversion - But we also pulled all the DMC and matched it with the colors we were using. If that helps.
Girls I just love you two!!!! I was thrilled to meet you in Maine at Library Stitchers Retreat. I was at a back table and met you both at the last minutes of the retreat. Great finishes!!! I just can not imagine how fun it is to drive with you two to a retreat!! Great video as always.
I’m a little behind but what a fun episode! I can’t wait to see your G Leger starts. Thanks for stopping in and seeing us again in the Gloriana room at Market. Happy stitching!
Thanks for watching!! Our G Leger start may be later than Mother's Day, as we are waiting for some fabric!!
I love Loons. I live in Minnesota. My daughter saw and heard several last year up the Gunflint trail.
Love your glasses Shelly! Love this addition area, lots of fun stitching area!!
You two are so much fun to listen to! Love your shop! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
I’m so glad to see you both again. It seems like forever.
Oh. My. GOD!!! I’ll be at Library Stitchers Retreat, too!!!! I’m so excited!!! I have G. Leger from Reflets de Soie! I have the Vicki Clayton silk conversion, happy to start that with y’all! If I’m working that weekend I’ll have to start earlier.

G. Leger by Reflets de Soie. I googled Lemon Drop and used the Smirnoff recipe.

Another fun video! Loved the speeding story!! Maybe between 65-70 would be safe...and cruise control 😂
Good call!

Loved the update! Shelly, you should read Bill OReillys book Killing the Witches before you go to Salem. It will put a whole new light on the trip
Thanks!! I'll give it a look!
Not sure how you two could do any better at next year’s market, I think I had my order before you guys got home! Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
So awesome to see you both again, missed you.

Thanks!
As usual, did not get near the snow that they were predicting...but it was a very good excuse to stay home and stitch...just in case!!
Oh I wished I had been able to go to the Primitive Hare outing you had. LOVE the lady slipper lady!
We listened to you on our drive home! Looking forward to SAL’ing with you.

I bought Triple Sec yesterday to make the lemon drop martini s. LOL.
So yummy!! They are my favorite drink right now.
The are really pretty too!! Don't forget the simple syrup. Very easy to make, dissolve equal parts sugar and water in a sauce pan.
Be sure to sugar your rim and use a lovely martini glass. You will feel so special...and you deserve it!!

That sounds like so much fun!!

I love the Loon also!!! The Snowman was stitched on 16 count Picture This Plus Crystal Feldspar.
Would you tell the 😮fabric and stitch size the Snowman was stitched on.

Welcome Stitchery carries all of the other supplies. Banding, threads, etc.
Will you be selling the Gloriana thread packs for G Leger?
I am sorry we will not be selling the thread packs, we used what we found on the internet for a conversion and then changed a couple colors. So, it really isn't our conversion - But we also pulled all the DMC and matched it with the colors we were using. If that helps.
Hi! Shelly, Is your Rose Quaker finished already? Sorry I missed that... I've been wondering why you don't show that anymore...
Oh, goodness no! I haven't stitched on it in a very long time. That project will be in the rotation for years to come, I'm sure.
What count was the stand up snowman stitched on/ thanks
