Generational trauma is a fairly new issue in psychology and in therapy. More research needs to be done on this topic and more personal stories of this need to be told. Thank you for this video.

It actually isn't..the roots of psychotherapy are based on generational trauma..

really? cuz even tho I'm not that much in psychology by any means but I think every psychologist I listen to like Jordan or others on Joe Rogan Podcast rarely talks about generational or more specifically parental trauma. I think because it's not very direct the link between the one's psychological problems and the actions or unactions of their parents and family. I also I do believe that such a thing would entirely affect people's lives but I do not think it would do to the degree that a parent would bring in a child to a toxic environment where suffering in 100% coming and not be aware of that. It is pretty much a conscious decision and they choose that the child is not worthy of love or care which by doing so is a crime that they have to be punished for @@eibhlinnichrualoai

The problem with trying to put all the blame on the mother or others is that it's forgotten that they too were likely equally traumatized as were their caregivers too. If you are fortunate enough to see the sequence of events and consequences take that as a gift and even share it. You may be the one who breaks the abuse from going forward.

What people who know what’s happened vs people who’ve had it happen to them are equally traumatised? Can’t tell whether you’re stupid or ignorant tbh

Watched the full thing yesterday and never got the impression that he blames others. In fact quite the opposite, he is the only one from all his family that has taken full ownership for what has happened to him.

Unfortunately, I'm already seeing the term misused and people it truly affects will be lumped in with masses it realistically doesn't. I was chided for telling my 3 year old niece 'no" because it will perpetuate the generational trauma" my sister "endured when mom yelled." Mom hardly yelled and it always had severe reason when she rarely did it. So the 3 year old runs roughshod over her.

I can relate to the situation in specific family members as well. They go to the opposite extreme because it triggers their trauma, and they can’t deal with it.

It is really surprises me how one can rebuild it's confidence by doing a really hard job that pays him off pretty well at the end of day for achieving that exceptionally high level of success or to be more honest even very small ones like doing the bed works as well and it is a great start in this one thousand miles road

I tell you the truth, the only way to save this world is to break the chain of trauma. And the only way to do that is through radical acceptance of your own suffering and in that suffering to choose to love. It may not be your fault, but accepting it as your burden to bear is the highest, most heroic thing you can do. Anyone who hears truth, hears this

I would describe myself as the ”drifter” in school - not identifying myself with any particular peer group, but moving among many groups and only associating with specific members within them. I was able to camouflage myself quite effectively this way, not getting too familiar with anybody, and still getting the benefit of not being a loner. I was raised in an impoverished alcoholic household, and I didn’t want anyone to find out. I was an imposter of sorts. All my family is gone now, and I still socialize following this formula. I see no positive reasons for anyone to really come to know me.

Women need to do a better job of vetting men who seek to be the father of their children and men need to step up from being deadbeats. It's a domino effect; once the dad walks out, he's inadvertently punishing the mom and the child by burdening the family with one income stream and starving the kid of an optimal upbringing.

I appreciate Dr. Jordan's episodes for two significant reasons. Firstly, they feature individuals who simultaneously embody the roles of abuser and victim, often referred to as the "trauma breaker," and secondly, these individuals are typically male. These aspects resonate with Dr. Jordan's perspective on confronting one's inner struggles (the "shadow") and his mission to support and rehabilitate men who are dealing with deep-seated issues.
In my view, this can be seen as a feminist action because it sheds light on the complex psychological states of males, challenging stereotypes and traditional notions of masculinity. However, it's worth noting that I don't necessarily agree with Dr. Jordan's traditional views on female roles. Nonetheless, I applaud his efforts in exploring these challenging topics. Thanks Aaron for sharing your story with us.

I remember my neighbors getting new toys, we had to wait until they had a garage sale. 1970. Downey California

Jordan I believe exactly what Carl Jung said about life, that we are not what happened to us, but what we choose to be. I was abused when I was younger, as you are aware and I never retaliated physically against anyone, except once when I was about 11 or 12. The reason why I didn’t retaliate physically is because Jesus Christ gave the example of “turning the other cheek” numerous times in the Bible, but I did confront some people verbally and asked if they wanted to take it further, and no one ever did Jordan. I can tell you that I could shake hands with any of the people who spat on me or even physically hurt me. Life is too short to hold onto anger and resentment for events in the past. I am divorced as you also know and happily admit that it was a good move to divorce my ex wife. It’s not what I wanted but sometimes you try and try, and the other party doesn’t listen. I hope that she has a good life ahead of her, and maybe relationship number 7 or 8 will work out. Like your shows Jordan.

Jesus is NOT God, but he is his Father’s Glory:
Those who say Jesus is the Son of God, the very essence and representation of the glory of the Father [God], then that means he himself is not God. He speaks on behalf of God; he is the word of God, manifested as flesh to us. Whatsoever the Father says, he says.
In John 1:1, the term “Word” does not simply mean "Jesus." This is what man's first interpretation of that verse means, regardless of whether or not they're even a Christian. This is what the "world" has taught us to think without even a second consideration. Well, what exactly is "God's Word?" It is his promise; his actions; his very nature--it is the expressed *will of the Father.*
And Jesus was sent to do the Word of God; he was sent to do the Father’s will (John 6:38). He was sent as the image/representation of God, for no man can see God (John 1:18) until they reach heaven where the SON will show us PLAINLY of the Father who he CAME FORTH from (John 16:25-28).
This is the truth of the gospel. Much of what many have been told in this world is a lie, and many will cry 'Lord, Lord' and will not enter. Repent, and God will forgive.

Above all... What good is intelligence if we don't use it on ourselves? If you don't Look at how you look at things looked at. What do you really see? 🙏🏻If we all never had any mobility. Only seeing faces and speaking to them, hearing them, and thinking about what is being heard and said onto all faces. How would I pick favorite's? Ha. after asking this you can't skip over asking yourself How do I pick now? If your answer isn't like an onion layer. You're not ready to peel. 🫐
