Sam, great videos, really useful. I've tried creating a custom linetype containing both text and shapes. I've created the linetype and it looks fine. My problem is though that if you draw a circle the text is upright but it shifts to towards the shape at the top of the circle, the base of the circle is fine shape and text is as it should be. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello Sam, In 8:09 you told to compile the file with all shapes together to have all shapes inside just one file, and not as single files as you go creating them. I'm making new template for the company I work and I made all the shapes necessary and I made all linetypes from those separated shape files as well. Is there any way to adress all the new linetypes created with single shape files to the new compiled file with all shapes? I tried that, but AutoCAD keeps asking for the 11 single SHX files, even If I load the new Compiled SHX containing all the shapes. Any thoghts on that? So, before creating the Linetypes, should I create ALL the SHAPE files, do the steps starting at 7:37 and THEN start creating the linetypes, so AutoCAD will associate all the linetypes with that single compiled shape file? Thanks!
