    IDC what anyone else says, from my pov it's all very pretty and thank you for even bothering to record and share it with everyone, particularly given you were also with your family. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

    I love lights and light shows... Looking for something that'll leave me satisfied when I go. I was about to purchase Astra Lumina tickets but some people said that wasn't good, and that THIS was better. You all say this is boring -- what should I do?? Looking for excitement and lights/nature

      Sorry for the delayed response. I personally enjoyed both Lightscape and Astra Lumina and thought both were beautifully done. Were you able to attend one of the events?

    This was super disappointing! I always saw it around this time of year and always wanted to go and it isn’t until after that I see so many people saying that it was really lacking compared to other years. It’s a shame

      I've gone every year and it has been slightly different each time. I personally enjoyed it. I was surprised some the feedback that has been posted.

    So true, just got back and it was the worst out of all of the years they had this. Who was it that “reimagined” it for the worse?
    If you compare previous years light installations maps, this year is only about half the size - they got lazy and cheap - the lighting sucked and the music non-existent for the didn’t seem to want to pay for barely ANY lyrical song for last year whomever was in charge put so much thought and care, each song was carved out specifically for each light display making it fun - they had these disco balls last year that played Pharrell’s Happy song and it made it so much fun;
    that had great holidays carols accompanying your walk - this year the DULLEST - barely any music and the volume was so low, one would think we were a library - did they get cited from the city for noise violations; could they not afford it -
    I understand inflation and economy is tough but then they should not charge us more for getting half of what we all got to see previous years .
    WHAT HAPPENED? It seems whomever was in charge for 2023 is NOT the same as 2022 and 2021 - those 2 years were amazing. They call this year “reimagined 2023’
    It’s reimagined to not much of anything. They need to bring back whoever did prior 2 years event or lower the ticket price since we are getting so less!

      There were elements from previous years that I missed this time around, but honestly I was surprised by some of the feedback. The one installation did cause a backup and I think the food trucks could have been placed somewhere else, but overall, I enjoyed my visit and liked the new additions. There are other Lightscape events around the country and I would imagine the displays get rotated around so its slightly different each year at each location.

    It was totally disappointing. It was terrible! The path change from last year was shorter, more up hill and caused bottleneck line to see some of the attractions. The light display was boring too. Sorry Arboretum. It’s usually good. Not this year. 😢😢😢

      The path was different and there were some installations from previous years that I missed, but as I have said in other responses, I was kind of surprised by the feedback. We enjoyed our visit. I agree there was a backup at the walk-through display. Hopefully, the organizer listen to the feedback and take that into account for next season. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year!

    I was SOO disappointed this year!!! I couldn't wait as I loved it in 2021! There were no amazing displays as in 2021, where they were one great scene after another. This year was boring as heck and it was definitely not worth the money. I took my son who came out of state, and at the end of the walk, I couldn't stop apologizing. Don't waste your money this year.

      It has been slightly different each year I have attended. I enjoyed the new installations. I did miss the light show on the lawn, but had a good time nonetheless. It stopped raining just minutes before arriving, so the pathways were wet, and the lights were shining off the ground. It was really pretty.
