basically the whole secret mv was welcoming yeonjung to their cosmo universe thing, shes the one who fell from the sky.
Cosmic girl = 12 zodiac and add yeonjung is Ophiuchus zodiac

From what people have mentioned the 'SECRET' lore goes like this:
The girls were waiting for Yeonjungs arrival and the girls can see shes coming.Exy and Seola in the car can see whats coming down to earth basically heading the way shes coming down. Everybody else starts the ritual of where she's coming down and where shes gonna fall to. the person in the black hoodie is ZEUS(greek mynthology) in the greek mythology Zeus kills Ophiuchus(Which in this mv Yeongjung is Ophiuchus) with thunderbolts. but she didnt die, she just got banished from the skies and fell down to earth. in the end of the MV you can see bona finding her and helping her from her arrival from the skies.
Secret is WJSN's signature sound and I love it so much
I can't even count how many times Cheng Xiao (the member that did the front flip) was asked to do a cartwheel in variety shows after this
Meiqi was the one in center in the 2nd chorus of Catch Me (11:10), and Xuanyi was the one holding the bear in MoMoMo around 3:19, also sings this part in I Wish 20:14 and is the blonde one here (black hair is Meiqi)
Cheng Xiao, Meiqi and Xuanyi formed the Chinese Trinity (or Chinity), the 3 members left to promote in their home country right before Save Me Save You
Meiqi and Xuanyi were also famous for the fake "Lesbian Chinese Billionaires get married" viral tweet, which brought attention to WJSN, while Cheng Xiao won a gold medal at ISACs for her legendary rhythmic gymnastics performance (this is a MUST watch) and still appears in K-pop member popularity charts, just by existing really, even after being in China for 5+ years

The group was originally meant to do concepts that are like catch me but then they added luda yeoreum and dayoung into the lineup and the main debut track became momomo.
The man in their debut mv is called kwangsoo and he is a famous comedian in their company. He was a cast on running man for many years.
The one doing the flip was cheng xiao one of their chinese members.

Looking at these early MVs I hope you'll get to know C-line too, as they weren't in the guide videos you've watched. For example through WJSN Show (their variety show on JTBC)
Oh my, i missed them. The full actual members of WJSN aka Zodiac Girlies. Since each of the members represents each zodiac sign. 12 members for 12 zodiac animals. In Secret, they added Yeonjung (from I.O.I) summoned from the sky with the power of the 13th zodiac sign, "Ophiuccus" the Serpent Bearer. ❤

Exy is a talented rapper, but not many know she wrote and composed 63 of WJSN’s 72 songs…. Also she is a talented actress too.

I WISH is the most underrated wjsn song and mv but it's still one of my favorite from them😢
Girls, that girl there doing a wheel spin, is Cheng Xiao, she, along with Mei Qui and Xuan Yi, were the only foreign members of the group, her agency YUE HUA, same as Everglow , agreed with Starship on WJSN's debut, only that at the time of the promotions both agencies did not agree and after a couple of years, just as someone else mentions, after "Save me, Save you" the three girls returned to China to promote individually Mei Qui and Xuan yi participated in the Chinese version of "Produce 101" finishing both in first and second place respectively, thus debuting in the mandopop group "Rocket girls", while Cheng xiao She was a mentor of the "youth with you" program and participated in several dance survivals, you could say that Cheng Xiao can easily rival Lisa from black pink in terms of dance skills, obviously they became mega popular in China and I think that for nothing world would return to WJSN, so they went on permanent hiatus until the end of their contract with Starship, which they did not renew. I hope I don't bore you with this essay about the "China line"

'Secret' was an MV for WJSN and their fans to welcome a new member - Yeonjung after her produce group disbanded. So you can see in the MV, she fell from the sky alone and Bona was reaching out her hand for her. A very warm way to introduce a new member and thats was actually really cool.
Yes, just want to point out that Yeunjung's group hadn't even disbanded yet! The IOI promotions were really messy, they had one full group comeback and then Yeunjung joined WJSN, Sejeong and Mina debuted in a new group (Gugudan), Chaeyeon continued promotions in the group she was already in (DIA) and so IOI's second comeback had to be a subunit with the left over members (Somi, Chungha, Yoojung, Doyeon, Sohye, Nayoung and Kyulkyung) and their third comeback was a full group one once again. After that they only realeased a goodbye single. They
didn't even last the full year their contract was for, despite being very successful.

I wish is such a special song and means a lot to me honestly. These women have produced some of the most magical and dreamy songs and music videos. The you get to the subunits and you're hit by such diversity. This is truly one of the best girl groups out there.
The girl who did the flip was Cheng Xiao, one of the Chinese members who have all left the group. She was my bias and it was really a pity that she is not with the group anymore, but she is doing quite well in China as an actress.

they had teasers called secret film which started during secret era... the first ones are actually kind of like mood teasers rather than one with a story (?) but the ones after i wish era i think had narration + if you'd look up the lyrics of the title tracks there's definitely some connection with their secret films as well as reoccurring themes within the mvs...
When they debuted this was the beginning of 3rd Gen and it seems so fresh. I am still a 2nd Gen bias, but their first two years are my favorite out of all the songs that they have done. I couldn't even guess how many times I have played these four songs and videos.

"Secret" is the basic of WJSN's unique cosmic concept forever ❤️
This mv shows their concept a lot like that circle ritual looking image bc i forgot the name. But since they were 12 members at first their concept was zodiac signs, they changed certain member birthdays and gave them fake company birthdays so each member can represent a certain zodiac sign. Once yeonjung joined and made the group 13 they made a new zodiac sign for her, which someone mentioned above w the greek mythology explanation.

As a WJSN-(Wu Ju So Nyeo )STAN OF 7 YEARS I TO was changed when catch me came out lmao . Momomo was their debut song (2016) SO OF COURSE that switch in concept took many of us by surprise lol
ALSO YES. yeounjung did not debut in cosmic girls UNTIL 2016 in secret MV when in the music video she fell from space lol.SHE WAS ORIGINALLY IN I.O.I (disbanded 2017) theses girls will forver HAVE MY HEART.
including THE CHINA LINE who have also left the group due to covid and contract ending - Meng Mieqi -Wu Xuanyi- Cheng Xiao🫰💛 -Dawon and Yeoreum have also left the groups as of March 3rd 2023
The group originally debuted as 12 members which r involving 3 members from china, Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao & Meiqi. as July 2016 Yeonjung from survival program & the name of the group was been called as I.O.I, joined them as 13th member of WJSN. but rn, the current member is 10 which is the chinese members left the group as having their own job in china & been busy w their schedule & not gonna involving themself in WJSN projects.

Well, if you wanna see a bit more of rapper Exy, I recommend looking up her pre-debut Unpretty Rapstar2 performances (e.g. Mad Thing)😏 she was a real underdog in my opinion, especially going on the show as a trainee.

A curious thing about Exi, in the beginning she, like Monbyul, wanted to be a vocalist, but unlike the last one, I think Exi had nodules detected in her throat and after surgery she could no longer sing as she wanted, I think it was her vocal teacher who recommended rap and the rest; is history.
