This particular phone wasn’t too bad with the liquid damage and it was a plain water where this phone was dropped in .
So first and foremost when you remove the camera and the screen and all the plates, then you can see how much water is standing inside if there is still a lot of water standing try to put it on a heat pad very low heat like 70° and leave it for like 1520 minutes pick it up several time between that and see if the water is evaporating but first you can just clean up the water whatever the visible water is standing there similarly leave the camera on the heat pad for around five minutes. Let it dry as well you know, clean up the connections all the Connections with 99% alcohol leave it to dry again and leave it the whole phone not on the heat on the side after all cleaning at least at least for a couple of hours just to make sure that moisture is left in the motherboard and then just put it back and power up the phone and see how it behaves.
If the phone is damaged in a pool, which is a chlorine water or in a sea, that is totally different scenario and definitely definitely. You have to be with the motherboard and you have to wash the motherboard with the alcohol and then you know put it back and check the phone thoroughly , I hope I answered your questions

when you cleaned the phone, did you remove the board and put in alcohol, put on a heat pad or just leave it aside to dry?
