@@YourJapans there are many trails there but most of the trails are all very easy to hike. There are maps along the way too. Another way is to take bus all the way to the end where you can visit the visitor Center first for more information.

You see cars up there and they probably belong to the hotel guests/workers etc etc. Please check the bus schedule and book it in advance as it is a popular destination and can be very crowded.

The best months to visit would be between May and September. Swimming is not allowed there I think as I’ve not seen anyone swim in the icy cold river.
