The other theory on why goku black has has pink hair is because zamasu is born a god, thus managed to achieve super saiyajin rosé whereas son goku was trained under Whis and achieved the power of a God thus managed to transform to super saiyajin blue.
I think because zamasu is corrupting goku's body

I think you explained why SSR hair is pink well. There’s seems to be a lot of symbolism in his hair being pink. To add, I think his aura is purple because he is a deity like a god of destruction who’s aura is always purple. It’s outlined in a dark red (crimson red) because of how, like the black rose example, symbolizes hatred, death, despair, etc.

A regular Saiyan could theoretically obtain this form via dragonball wish that adds an ability to swap your regular ki with the ki of a kaioshin.
It would probably need the super dragonballs

He has kaioshin ki surely as he was trained in the mystic art on the kaioshin world during the buu arc
@@1n0A I don't think the Ultimate form for Gohan is kaioshin ki. I think the elder kai just pulled out all of Gohans potential to the max. What my initial post meant is an ability that lets you from the base form swap your regular ki signature. You don't get any stronger per say but might get certain benefits.

I don't think the "distinction between two Gokus" was the reason why Goku black had pink hair, especially given the fact that both of them wear different clothing which is more than enough to tell them apart do you think.

I think that since pink is the opposite color of blue (like purple & yellow and black & white), they made ssj rose as a contrast for ssj blue, a good and evil mentality

And purple and green
orange is the opposite of blue people
however red and blue are also extremely common colors to use in contrast, so while orange is the actual opposite of blue, red vs. blue is much more common

I like how Sean nailed the voice on this character too. He is pushing his pitch and tone in precisely the same way Zamasu's VA does. It's so crazy how their pitch aligns almost flawlessly, but their tones are contrastingly different! Mirroring the Ki in a way
I like to think zamasu just advanced his Super Saiyan God or SSJG2. Either that or mixed Red God form with Regular Super Saiyan

Speculating on why it's pink is fun though.Like how could zamasu still have his original ki along with mixing Goku's. If u remember, the zamasu body had maybe similar durability to SSJ1 so how could a fresh base body Goku(Zamasu) still beat a decently durable Zamusu body with Goku's skills and techniques.(starting off the soul of Goku according to logic should still have all his DBZ techniques at bay. Ik I sound like a fanboy(and I am), but I'd like to see that in the anime.

I support theory of agent Peacock because I believe having pink hair definetly draws the attention to the character too much and brings a general idea of being the center of everthing, like being in power.
You actually mixed the paintings hahaha you triggered a memory:
When I was younger it obssesed me that trunks had purple hair whilst vegeta's was black and bulma's aqua but then I noticed vegeta's hair sometimes looks redish? ... so I did the mixing of paintins and it did come out purple! LOL
later on I found out bulma's hair has always been purple in the manga... but going back to the video, thanks for including japanese culture into it, I also agree it is fascinating to analyze toriyama's possible inspirations.

The real logical answer that goes well with the dbs lore is that since zamasu took goku’s body and that his aura is still dark purple, then zamasu could have kept his supreme kai ki, which is why black goku’s god form is in a different color, pink in this case (there is no god of destruction thing, just watch the scans and you’ll understand what i mean)

Manga: SSRose is just his SSBlue
Honestly the Anime one makes more sense.
Because Goku Black has the body of Future Goku, and he hasn’t unlocked Super Saiyan 2, 3, God, or Blue.
Symbolic of cherry 🍒 blossom and killing/ death or Rose 🌹 Goku Black fits in with the Toriyama trope of naming characters after food! - 🌹 🍷.

I like the Black Rose theory! Also... Toriyama is known for using the correct color ratio; not only when creating a character but also when there is a fight between two characters. For instance: the rose hair from Goku Black and the blue hair from Goku SSJ4 are a perfect match (like you mentioned). The green skin and white hair of Zamasu also go very well with the rose hair of Goku Black. Another example would be when the fusion between Zamasu and Goku Black go wrong: purple and green are a nice color combination 🙃

In the anime I rember that the same Goku Black confirmed that the pink color was thanks to his pure god ki (as a Kaioshin in the body of a mortal) and not a god ki mastered by mortals
In the anime, SSJR would just be super saiyan but with pink hair. This make since because in episode 50 Goku went SSJ2 against Black, but both were holding back. Once black perfected goku's body, later on he took blows from SSJB Vegeta in base. If it was SSJB in the anime the fight would like a lot like Merged Zamasu vs goku, vegeta, and Future Trunks.

When zamasu switched body's with go his divine kaioshin ki inverted gokus God ki then instead of going God to blue his kaioshin inverted the blue hair to a divine rose color that's why they call super saiyan roses the divine form of blue

For all those about to comment, "Kai Ki mixed with Saiyan", that's not what this video is for. The question is why Pink was chosen for the color, instead of orange, green, or brown. Kaioshin Curt asks why pink and not how is it pink.

I think the first theory was the most accurate
It's probably just a cross combination of god ki. Zamasu's soul and divine ki are in Goku's body which is left intact, just minus it's original soul. The trace Goku/SSG ki combined with the ki of a divine being could explain the power's origin and exponential growth. Goku black starts the arc needing to learn how to use Goku's body in a manner similar to captain ginyu. This means that of the divine spirit were to synchronise with it's semi divine vessel a totally new unseen power would be born. Thus super saiyan rosé.
Another theory of mixing colors goku and vegeta don't have enough god ki to access the true super saiyan god super saiyan.
Think about it yellow and red doesn't even come close to blue if anything rose more resembles true SSJGSSJ. And goku and vegeta can't make super saiyan out of God Ki yet.

I was thinking about a theory the other day, so when zamasu went to the other time to steal gokus body, what if that goku was stronger than our goku? Meaning like what if that gokus zenkai was busted just like brolys was? and that could explain why black was always getting stronger and they never did. They literally got stronger from the beat downs while black basically got stronger beating them down. It really kind of reminds you of how broly was. I know ppl will say it was the gods ki that made him stronger than them. But we have seen that regular energy can be stronger than god energy.
I honestly would take SSR over Blue. It's more pretty and more drippy than plain old Blue.

The answer is simple, since Zamasu is a God when he surpasses the Super Saiyan God it goes Pink instead of blue. Since Goku and Vegeta are mortals since they surpassed Super Saiyan God and combined it with Super Saiyan it would be Blue.

He took Goku's and Vegeta's clutch and used it against them
He was legit stronger than goku at that point in time. His main primary goals was obtaining more power and eliminating all mortals. Just a beast searching for his next meal.
He was better off on his own than he was fusing in my opinion.
