Roseland, NJ Fire Department 100th Anniversary Parade.

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 the Roseland Fire Department of Essex County, NJ celebrated 100 years of service to the community. Multiple fire companies and EMS squads from surrounded areas participated in a parade followed by a picnic to show their support towards the department and membership.

I've been to parades like this but have never seen the National Guard in it. It's quite nice to see the military's taking part in the anniversary.

It is always so much fun watching parades like this no matter how long they last, I was actually in one at one time, and I found out one thing, you travel at such a slow pace in your vehicle, too slow for mine, my engine overheated a number of times form the very slow pace, and also from me hitting the brakes so many times going down the parade route, dont know how all these fire trucks police cars etc, dont have the same thing happen to them going down the route at the pace that they do......
