I asked Santa for an OK Speed and Custom Hot Rod.... I am in my 60s I doubt if Santa comes to this hell hole Commifornia . I am retired piping superintendent from Texas, live in the desert,so drive bys are not a thing here, however them Reindeer are up for grabs. He will not have a problem with that further north, south east or west of my house as everybody is Vegan or Vegetarian.. PETA might be a problem, and no firearms, however I have a compound bow and have been shooting one since 1975 ... You give an old fart hope that the youth of our country are not ALL TOOLS... GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. WISHING YOU AND YOUR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS .
I like a 40 minute video, so I paused it for 16.5 minutes about half way in. When everyone chips in, it just gets better and better. Excellent video! Thanks for sharing.
I the same way with this channel as I am with puddin's 2 channels no matter what y'all put out content or length of the video I watch anything that is put out from beginning to the end religiously
Good afternoon from Cape Cod ⛵ Slick, you really do some fine metal finishing, that roadster is coming along awesome 👍 I'd like to wish Charlie and yourself and all your families a very Merry Christmas 🎄✌️🇺🇲
Cool fab work Slick, you won the fitment fight. Like the wiring tube 👍 also "Slick" can't wait for those Ok Speed n' Custom tees !! Yay! Merry Christmas!! to you and your Family
Slick, you remind me of me doing things you and I both know NOBODY ELSE WILL SEE - and yet you do it. And somehow, I don't know how, I suspect you do it whether the camera is on you or not. It is a sickness, I know, but I like it. FWIW, I'm the guy who sent Jacob those 3 Autolite 2100's and there was a Chevy Luv manual in that box for you. Hopefully Puddin gave it to you. LOL Merry Christmas guys.
And definitely had a chuckle, when you said “ I’m a little particular” after that last video on the 32 where you practically took the front of the roof off because the one pillar was 1/4” out when most people wouldn’t have noticed, that was a bit of an understatement. You’re a craftsman and craftsmen are picky at least the good ones are.
I was getting ready to type about the Eastwood product and there you went about it, haha. Nice work! I need to build another 30's car or maybe a pickup, good fun.
I really enjoy watching your work and would appreciate hearing a bit more background at the start of each video. Is this a purchased frame that you're preparing for a customer? Why are you boxing it? Are you going to install a body on it? Looking fwd to seeing your shirts!
Good learning experience. I think for both your viewers and You. Showing how and why you work metal. Your doing well. What grade is the frame metal? Looked maybe 1/4" thick. And YES. Paint the insides. Looking at older cars being rebuilt. The panels inside rust away before the outside. Have a Great Merry Christmas Slick and Charlie. This time next year.. Couple of Millionaires. LOL
Hey Slick, is that a frame for a old school ban saw in the background? How do you charge for your work by the job or by the hr? Keep it coming and Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Hey slick, not sure if you have one of those barrel sanders like Eastwood has but, they work killer on things like cleaning that rust up. Also harbor freight has a Bauer one that they sell that's cheaper. Keep up the good work work bud! 👍👍
MERRY CHRISTMAS ! + happy new year to you + your families, [bit late, but i still have bad flu] how thick are your new panels, compared to the original chassis [from over the pond, don't know "gauge" measurement, sorry] when finished, will it all be fully seam welded ? keep it up young man
To make it look like there are not boxing plates there I would use a paper/card template to fine-tune each plate so that the fit is more precise and you don't need to add small pieces in at the end. Good work, though.
Good Sunday morning everyone 🌞 Good info and appreciate the wrenching 🔧🛠️🪛🛠️🏁 sending everyone best wishes for a Blessed CHRIST mas 🙏✝️ Remember everyone Jesus Christ in your life is the answer through it all. Give him a try ✝️🙏💪👍
Hi Slick, why dont you weld in the box reinforcement before the x frame? And you can just trim the ends if it interferes with the x frame piece till it fits up perfectly.
I do it because it adds strength to the over all chassis. These frames are pretty flimsy so welding the x frame inside the frame then welding the boxing plates to the x frame makes it even stronger.
Any explanation why you did the x member before boxing plates ? I figured you would want to do boxing plates then x member. That’s how I did my 32 chassis and I feel like it was a little easier then the way your doing it.
SLICK, MERRY CHRISTMAS! TO YOU AND YOURS .... GONNA ORDER MY HOODIE AND HATS.... SO SIGN EM, PLEASE....EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE ONE OFF YOUR BACK OR HEAD .... STILL LOOKING FOR AN OLDS VISTA CRUISER 71 OR 72..... KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR ONE!!!
When dealing with the pipe, couldn't you cut a section a few inches longer from the corner out and fit that, then weld in the longer section left over? Seems it would make it quicker and easier to me, but I ain't a fabricator.
Dang you gonna tig that frame and grind it off? 😢 I personally like seeing welds, but I get it. Why not mig it? If you plan on grinding it smooth? Just was curious.
@OKspeedandcustom in Alabama called the Bama bash. It's a derby enduro race/car show June 21st. You would be the guest of honor along with Wild Bill pudding if they accept as well. You are more than welcome to compete and if need be I could rustle up a few vehicles tentative date if June 21st
Too bad i can't watch your videos anymore, the videos have a different language now. (german...) i cannot change this in the settings, keeps popping back to german...😭It is horrible to hear a different language in the videos. Hopefully this issue gets fixed.

Great video full of good teaching info. How thick is the boxing plate, it looks at least 3/16". That ought to hold.
Thank you! 10 gauge

Hey Slick my wife speaks German and the words under Metal Flux are Welding Copper
Good to know! That’s awesome. Tell your wife thanks!
Nice helmet hair!

Welding the X member inside the frame gives added strength opposed to welding it on to the boxing plated,

Always a few ways to do it! That’s the fun part!
Dang you gonna tig that frame and grind it off? 😢 I personally like seeing welds, but I get it. Why not mig it? If you plan on grinding it smooth? Just was curious.
We Tig everything. Just the preferred method.
