As someone who has never played snooker in their life, but who has recently fallen victim to the algorithm rabbithole of binge-watching snooker highlights and Ronnie funniest moments, and now has a cosmic desire to understand what makes a good snooker player, this is just the video I needed! (Oh yeah, teaching me the actual rules of the game for the first time benefitted me too I guess 😂) Keep up the epic vids. Ill try my luck this time - from Cardiff, Wales
wow, such an awesome video -- I've watched so many snooker "best shots" videos on youtube, but never really understood the game -- now i do -- thank you
Love your videos and helpful advice. You have helped immensely improve my game and just recently I beat the best player in our club to win our club championship for the first time.
The production value on these videos are fantastic by the way and you could easily be a bloke on TV haha. Again, I appreciate all the tips im picking up from a good binge watch! Heath in Colne, Lancashire. ;)
I have used these videos to help my teammates here in America. Even if you play eight ball nine ball or any other type of cue sport the ideas are helpful in both.
Love your vids 👍👍 . One thing that helped me alot was literally playing in slow motion including cue action . One of the main things new ( and some not so new players ) do is hit the ball way harder then needed which makes potting way harder .
Hey i watch your video and try to practice them and i am improving in game thanks a lot I have heard an aiming strategy to hit object ball like fullball, halfball, quater I align myself in line of aim and only watch the cue call where i am hitting for next ball setting Mithun Sharma Pune, India
Sorry, I've watched you for years and never subscribed (other account deleted so maybe), but you have the best snooker content and appreciate your videos. I've played for years now in the US and love the game, keep it up and cheers. Also, Denver, CO if you pin it :).
Sorry to say, generally speaking from the theory point of view the angle after the cushion will be smaller (or bigger from the cushion) after the ball strike the cushion because the it is not the most front of the ball that is traveling will touch the cushion but the slightly to the side of the front of the ball. So if you do a powerful hit, the ball will cushion n cushion until it bounce back almost 90 degree angle.
Hi When you say at angle shots the cue ball will deflects from ob at about 90 degree , are you striking the cb as stun or follow thorough, can you make a video about where cb goes after hitting the ob. Thank you
Went to the club today. Only been into snooker few weeks. Couldn’t pot many at all. Won all frames by forcing fouls. Really don’t know how I can pot more.
Wow, what a comprehansive lesson jam packed into a short video 👍🏻imagining how it would benifit a new player or serve just as a refresher.

Will you feature one of Zhao Xintong's snookers on Stephen Maguire in the World Championship best shots video?
Saw a few of them and it’s highly likely
On the opening shot could you bounce two cushions and tap the back of the reds? Is that illegal or just foolhardy or risky?
Could you make a video on how Zhao Xintong's cue action works.
Best regards from Örebro, Sweden.
I will do eventually
Thank u bro

When you’re 6ft 4 you have to hold the cue right at the end or the cue will fall off your bridge when you pull it back to load up the shot
