The episodes aren't a good measurement because the anime has major pacing issues. They first season of the live action adapted the first 95 chapters of the manga in season 1 (from currently 1,114). The second season which is currently in pre-production will likely adapt about 125 chapters in hopefully 10 episodes. There is currently a plan for six seasons which would lead us to the end of the first half of One Piece - which is currently one of the internationally most successful shows on Netflix even without getting the usual PR (when it aired actors and writers both were in a strike). It's likely that it shall replace Stranger Things as the prestige show of Netflix which would give it the much needed budget. Because from now on the special effects will get really expensive. We even enter Detective Pikachu territory here.

Eechiro Oda was a little bit like a student of Akira Toriyama , he had many respect for him (both in fact).
