  • Yo La Tengos Moby Octopad is a nighttime song, and here it is accompanied by nighttime images of the 1964 World's Fair in Flushing, New York--in and around Shea Stadium. Ira Kaplan is a huge Mets fan, and this video has become an inadvertent tribute to the now-defunct Shea.

    Very cool song. I was at the 64 worlds fair. I was only 4 at the time, but I do remember it. I remember being afraid of going in the Holland Tunnel My old sister said it would flood and she kept rolling down the windows of my dads 59 chevy impala. I kept rolling them up. I even remember the It's a small world display. Good times

    the distinctive drum sound comes from having one mic across the studio from the drums instead of mic-ing each drum as is usually done.
