OMG. Thank you so much for this review. I saw this on Tuesday. I thought I was the only one that hated this film. 20 minutes before the end I was praying for the power to go out to end my suffering. Redundant actions scenes, a romanace no one cares about and heart to heart talks that repeat over and over and over and over and over....
Didn't even need the "loop it back" because, before Joseph said, the "next gag is that.." - so patiently too! - my brain went into 'rewind' - oof! couldn't watch this for two and half hours!
As a cat lover who owns a cat with quite the spicy attitude, I really enjoyed the part where alfie killed the main bad guy. They played my favorite Sylvester song, “Do You Wanna Funk?”. Those were the only things I liked about the movie.
I hated almost everything about this movie and I went with people who liked it. Listening to you both, I feel so seen. Thank you for being there in my time of need 😂
"Henry Cavill is appropriately cast as an empty cipher.” God, Nick really doesn't mince his words and I love it!! 🤣 Thank you for sitting through this film for those of us that can't. 🙏🏾
Me: Yay! My internet-cousins are reviewing that movie I want to see! 😊 Joseph: A couple of inventive fight sequences aren’t enough to save this convoluted, drawn-out, and utterly ridiculous film. Me: Oh, no!🥺 Joseph: Yeah. 😂🤣 Thank-you, guys, for saving me 2+ hours. 🧡

I'm so glad that I went to see this awful movie...it was my 1st time meeting my colleagues outside of work and we had so much fun tearing it apart outside the cinema
Cousin to Selina Kyle lol Darn I knew the trailer looked bad but I was hoping it would be better than it looked…I guess rent was due for this cast and they needed a quick check
Most of the action was great. Fun concept. Not on board for the twist. Cool idea but ... he's in love with her but leaves her in the hands of the bad guys for 5 years? Make it make sense. If he couldn't get to her, sure, but he just sat in a window watching her get brainwashed and struggle with amnesia? Nope.
I like cats. So I would more than likely like to see the cat. However the trailer didn't even look good. It sounds like the cat might be the only good thing about this movie.
So funny guys! Not that this would have saved the movie, but not allowing Matthew Vaughn to stage his fight scenes with full--on R-rated carnage (considering all his other movies feature this to glorious effect) seemed like a huge missed opportunity. At least that would have given this movie some small pleasures. Love that you said that Henry Cavill looks like a vampire. I can't unsee this!
Thanks from saving me from seeing this. Not gonna lie, I was interested at first to see this because I like Henry Cavill and I was curious to see Dua Lipa in a movie but when you said neither one have big roles in it that was enough to convince me otherwise
Really does sound a bit like the fake "I made an AI watch everey Batman movie to write one" stories. Maybe they did get AI to write the crude script and paid some small authors per chapter to refine it, so no vision?
Even if this is s*** s*** I'm going to see it just to see Sam shout at people and "Beautiful Henry" [my name for him, lol] and also be extremely angry about Henry's awful hair. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did they do that? My bar of satisfaction is in Hell right now 😂. I'm inundated with political shit right now
Watching this, part of me wonders what on earth happened to Matthew Vaughn. Then I think I realize: he seems to have a lot in common with Guy Ritchie, someone who he worked with a lot early in his career. Sorta like Ritchie, Vaughn’s films were at their best when they focused on the witty dialogue, the fun moments, and doing just enough to keep the audience engaged without going overboard. Yet with both Ritchie and Vaughn, things fall apart when they rely too much on spectacle, effects, and so on. Vaughn was better at it than Ritchie, but films like Kick-A$$ and the first Kingsman showed he can have his wit and fun characters while showing just enough spectacle. This movie, however, feels like he’s shied away from his strengths as a filmmaker and leaned into his weaknesses. I hope that, for whatever Vaughn does next, he’s able to do what Ritchie’s started doing lately and go back to basics with films that showcase what made him work originally. And if it’s a smaller film that’s not these super-spectacular blockbuster things, I’m fine with that!
I loved the movie. I think I'm the only one and im completely fine with that. I completely turned OFF my brain. Damn was it stupid but i loved it. New guilty pleasure for 2024. The CGI was awful and I loved it even more because of that. As soon as Cavill raggedy ass' car grinded on buildings like a damn skateboard, i knew that it was NOT going to be a great movie - it was going to be a FUN movie😂
I’ve been scrolling through these comments looking for this. I’m with you! I knew this movie wasn’t going to be a “good movie” so I popped a couple of edibles and watched it with my preteen daughter. We loved it 😂
Right. Its ironic because I took my mom who hates films like these and prefers dramas or serious action and we both loved it. I also feel like there are way worse films out there even this year. It kept me entertained and had a fun story. I feel like the minority.
The result of 200 million dollars ladies and gentlemen. Just absolutely whack that a film that expensive can look so terrible. Goes to show you budget often means nothing. Godzilla Minus One (a film that just got nominated for best visual effects at the oscars mind you) was shot on an estimated budget of 10 million
Then again, you know what else Minus One had that this movie doesn't, besides infinitely better effects? Better writing Characters you could care about Better acting Better tension and conflict And SO much better stuff overall.
@@heymistercarter. Oh absolutely! I just wanted to make a point out how outlandish it is that a movie can throw all the money it wants on a screen and that absolutely does not equate to quality at all- on any front. Ghosted, Heart of Stone, Red Notice and the Gray Man come to mind
i was looking forward to this i adore Vaughn's first movie layer cake but thanks for the honest thoughts about the film. also the fact the whole elly conway is Taylor Swift is ridiculous to me still. 🤣
I won't see this but I feel like anytime Bryce does anything I hear a bleep bleep bloop bloop (desperate housewives) sound when she does anything silly. Cause she's so awkward... silly! 🤭🤭🤭.
I didn’t like The Kingsman at all, and couldn’t believe how awful this trailer looked! I thought this might surprise me though, but I have a feeling my assumption was correct based on your review! Eek
I thought the first half of the movie was good but I fell asleep after they meet Samuel L Jackson’s character 😂. I agree that the CGI looked bad especially in the beginning chase scene and all the scenes with the cat. I’m shocked that they spent $200 million dollars and the CGI looks this bad. Obviously, somebody got paid for this one but it wasn’t the right person.
I was more concerned about the cat than anything else. It was too long and too much going on. Rotten Tomatoes gave this a 34. That's too high a rating. I did like the dance and skating scene
Read The Gurdian review before I came here and it's equally damning. And I watched the trailer and didn't even get ot the end of it! Looks like this film should have been released in December...because it's a turkey!
I couldn`t finish the movie, left at 1:30 or something, looks like a music video. It has fun ideas but then someone wanted to turn it into an romcom, anyway. MI 7 ? was kinda better.
Stardust was Vaughn’s only actually good movie, every other movie(including Kick Ass and Kingsman1) was very annoying and tryhard (I love the actors he casts though, except some untalented ones like Cavill,Halle Berry, Dua Lipa)
Wow I'm glad I didn't waste my time and money on this trash. The trailer was disappointing enough. Now knowing it's another I lost my memory plot thats been done to death. Makes this film even more insufferable.
Cat + Cavill, my expectations were high😭I was hoping you made a review😘 I remember this Howard in one of the Jurrasic Park movies. She was already very annoying there and wore high heels all film long which was so ridiculous and very distracting.
A one?!? I meeeeeaaaan, it's not awesome and sure there are some plot holes. But come on. Do you guys mostly watch really good movies? Sam Rockwell alone has got to bump this movie to a two. LOL. Keep up the good work dude. Byyyyeeee
Fishjelly sandwich:
Watch the review, watch the movie, re-watch the review❤
Yes indeed ❤
In that order!!
I do this all the time!!!
That's how it goes.
Catherine O’Hara and Bryan Cranston sounds like a great parent pairing though.
They did play Kenneth's mom and his mom's friend Ron in the final season of 30 Rock...
Catherine O'Hara's characters don't have a great record as a mom😂
NICK: "...her Go-Go Gadget memory" 😩😭😭😭😭😭❤️👍
Love you two. You're both so smart and have beautifully complimentary points of view. I appreciate the spoilers, you've saved me many times!
OMG. Thank you so much for this review. I saw this on Tuesday. I thought I was the only one that hated this film. 20 minutes before the end I was praying for the power to go out to end my suffering. Not while wearing the merch! lol
Didn't even need the "loop it back" because, before Joseph said, the "next gag is that.." - so patiently too! - my brain went into 'rewind' - oof! couldn't watch this for two and half hours!
Shoutout to the Winchester House mention. I still remember how creepy it was when I visited back in the 1970s as a kid.
As a cat lover who owns a cat with quite the spicy attitude, I really enjoyed the part where alfie killed the main bad guy. They played my favorite Sylvester song, “Do You Wanna Funk?”. Those were the only things I liked about the movie.
I appreciate your honesty! I know that's one of the many reasons I love this channel! Please don't apologize or ever change!
I hated almost everything about this movie and I went with people who liked it. Listening to you both, I feel so seen. Thank you for being there in my time of need 😂
I’ve always loved Long Kiss Goodnight. At least Gena Davis was drowned to bring back her memories.
Dula Peep LOL
If I was gonna do a burlesque act this would be my name
Ok wendy williams lol😂
"Henry Cavill is appropriately cast as an empty cipher.” God, Nick really doesn't mince his words and I love it!! 🤣
Thank you for sitting through this film for those of us that can't. 🙏🏾
I knew Cavills hair would come up.
I haven’t seen the movie yet. But, I had high hopes that the cat would steal the show.
Bryce Dallas Howard and Amy Adams are dueling it out for red heads that take the worst projects in the past 10 years 🤣
This is why I love you two! Thank you for sacrificing your time to watch the stuff I won’t. This movie looks horrible.
Crunchy. Contrast. Cringe. Bwahaha!! You guys are the best.
Y'all reviews never disappoint 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think we already have a serious contender for worst hair of the year.
Looks like Bryce-Howard AND Rockwell both have pretty terrible hair!
@@iadorenewyork1 but Henry Cavill is the most ridiculous! He looks like Vanilla Ice!
I was literally thinking about Joseph while watching this movie and how he was gonna roast their hair.
Yikes burn!!!! Those pull quotes 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂😂 10 outta 10
I knew from watching the trailer to this movie that Henry would make the worst hair list! He didn’t deserve that. ☹️☹️☹️☹️
Once Nick and Joseph drag a movie, it’s automatically a comedy to me when I watch it! I don’t care what these movies makers want to call it!
I love that ya'll are wearing the movie tie in T shirts as you're ripping apart the movie.
I watched Mobius because they said it was so bad so their bad reviews can bring support to the films too😂
Girl you know that Joseph would totally watch this on an airplane! 😂😂
Amanda Bynes with the stray diss, I busted out laughing 😂
Me: Yay! My internet-cousins are reviewing that movie I want to see! 😊
Joseph: A couple of inventive fight sequences aren’t enough to save this convoluted, drawn-out, and utterly ridiculous film.
Me: Oh, no!🥺
Joseph: Yeah.
😂🤣 Thank-you, guys, for saving me 2+ hours. 🧡
When a movie turns out bad, I'm happy that at least I have your great reviews to count on
Selena Kyle 😂 deep cut to the cat in the trailer
Just a minor correction: Samuel L. Jackson's character is called Alfie, not Bryan Cranston's.
Came for the movie review
Stayed for the worst hair contenders 🪮🤭
Not the t-shirts...😂
I was ahead of myself. I read Joseph's minds I knew there were several bad hair nominees!. I would add the category of "bad CGI hair" for the cat!
Nick your quote was brilliantly snarky!!!!
I was waiting for this review after watching the movie today! Huge fan of your reviews - so much fun to watch!

Omg, I've seen the trailer for this 50 times now and I just realized Will Forte is not in this movie and that was Sam Rockwell with a beard lmao
At least you got some free t shirts.
Romancing the Stone it is not.
Enjoyed this review sm! All the best to you both Nick and Joseph! Thanks for saving me $
I can sense this is the worst film of 2024.
Is the cat even in the movie? I don't mind spoilers!
I knew this movie was gonna be bad. Thank you for confirming my suspicions.
Zero interest in this film but I wouldn’t dare miss this review! I’ll do myself a favor and watch long kiss good night again ❤
at least you got free t-shirts 😄
oops other people already made basically this joke
First review ive seen from you two but I will be back!
Haven’t seen it but I legit thought the cat was going to be the “real agent Argyle”…probably would’ve been a better plot…
