    I worked in a modern sawmill where the logs of every conceivable size ran through the mill in two or three seconds for each one, automatically adjusting for planks, boards and whatever...

    I really wanted to see how the logs are 'peeled' into sheets before becoming plywood. I thought they were also boiled in water first to soften them up. Answers anybody?

    All this equipment is sure a lot heavier than a short-handled single-bit ax that we use to drive wedges. You want to pack all this crap up the hills every day while falling timber? Not this cowboy.

    FFS, it takes 2 minutes to assess a trees lean, cut a notch and then back cut it. The end.
    ps. If you're not 100% comfortable with your read, through a rope on it.

    That wedge is ridiculous.. You might have put the video together, but I doubt very much you have felled many trees... Instead of carrying a saw, petrol and gear with you, now you want people to carry a battery drill and that steel wedge too.. Think again buddy,,, its crap

    • @leonardossenberg8799
      @leonardossenberg8799 Год назад +1

      No, it ist verry useful, I am using it in Germany, when you try to wedge big hevy leaning trees you will learn. This wedge pushes up to 25 metric tons. Produce this amount of force with an hammer and a classic wedge. The weight is about 6 kg If you use the big ones, it is not so bad, because you only carry it two Times in the morning when starting and in the evening when you go back to your car, in between it lays next to your last stump. This kind of wedge saves a lot of time, because it is faster in the trees and you save your own work force for the next trees.

      You sir are a moron if you think that is true. Every tree company once they see the productivity increase with such a device turning 10minute wedging sessions into 10s wedging sessions... will start demanding their employees use it... OF course in BC this won't happen as they are effectively government employees who can never be fired so...

      Most bird’s and animal in the northern hemisphere cannot access the food at the top of a 60 foot tree. Opening the canopy to allow growth of new plants is beneficial to the ecosystem. Your premise maybe correct if you are alluding to denuding the landscape, but even that has benefits.

      Gotta keep the co2 levels up. It’s better for the plant life. Or would we rather have lower co2 levels and not as vibrant green life?🧐

    If your going to narrate in English, then do it also with measurements...Metrics is no more than another language, not better.

    • @L_Train
      @L_Train Год назад +2

      If you would just learn to do rough conversions you wouldn't need to rely on anyone else, you would have helped yourself. Rough estimations can be done in the head for all units of length and weight. Then it's only a half step to learning metric. You learned the other right? I'm not saying metric is better but I am saying that learning it isnt hard and will only benefit you.

    • @paulcragg1315

      It really isn’t that difficult to understand measurements that most of the world use.

      Well, I’m in Canada where we speak English, and we also use the far superior metric system .
      Once you know it … it really is better . So simple. Everything is in 10’s and 100’s . 10 millimeters in a centimetre. . 100 centimetres in a meter .. thousand meters in a kilometre etc etc ..
      FYI … 2.5 cm = 1 inch . 30 cm = 1 foot
