    About Abstract Art 🎨
Strictly speaking, the word abstract means to separate or withdraw something from something else.
The term can be applied to art that is based an object, figure or landscape, where forms have been simplified or schematised.
Abstract art is a form of art with no recognisable subject, it doesn't represent images of our everyday lives. It has form, so it has colours, lines and shapes but they are not designed to represent living things or actual objects. It can still express emotions and feelings, however, so it is sometimes referred to as abstract expressionism. Some abstract artists had theories that colours and shapes had the ability to evoke emotions in people and planned out paintings that looked random in great detail. Other abstract artists painted randomly and hoped to capture their thoughts through this disordered process.
Abstract art is one of the only forms of art that can be considered truly modern. The first real abstract art began in the early 1900s by some expressionists such as Kadinsky, known for the Composition VII.
The famous abstract art or expressionism movement didn't begin until the 1940s, however. This movement took place in the United States, specifically in New York City. After the Second World War, abstract art became a really dominant form of art across America. A mixture of native American artists and immigrants made abstract art take off and become what it is today. It was seen as the product of an extraordinary time and putting New York City on the map as one of the most influential cities for art.
Abstract art was something really different. It went against the traditional confines of art by being about the full picture rather than having a focal point. Abstract art followed on from surrealism and Freudian ideas about dreams and spontaneous creation.
One of the first pieces of famous abstract art was completed in 1913 and took the form of a completely black square. This painting was by a Suprematist named Kazimir Malevich, part of an art movement based on simple geometric shapes.
Abstract art, non-figurative art, non-objective art, and non-representational art, are closely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.

I don't know why but these details remind me of: "Details make perfection, and perfection is not a detail." - Leonardo Da Vinci
