Once you switch form a 7S3 to the FX3 you enter the world of professional video. When people focus on the short comings they are not shooting. It’s a beast of a pro camera for the price.I looked at all its competitors in that price range, and the FX6 came out no.1 Love it.
Whoa that's an awesome camera. You should check out some of the amzing short films that have been shot with fx6 and even some hollywood movies with fx3. These are amazing cameras for sure.
There is a huge, high budget Hollywood movie that was shot almost entirely on the FX3....same sensor as the FX6. Look at "The Creator" trailor and your mind will be blown!
That's so awesome, I just watched the trailer and some videos about it, can't wait to see it when it's out and very excited for what impact it will have on filmmaking in general!
Great info. I admit I am not that knowledgeable about Sony fx lineup but this definitely makes me want to know more. I can't argue with your video quality, it looks terrific.
Not sure if I could ever afford or even need a camera like this but that was a great overview. Always appreciate how you mentioned the bad points as well. Definitely not a fan of no mic input without the handle but the auto ND is so cool.
If you're using the tilta battery plate it's recommended that you also use the tilta top plate. The top plate comes with a hole to attach the battery plate which takes the weight off the battery pins.
Hello aaron/ rudy, i shoot sony too. The FX6 looks iimpressive. Amazing feature is the ND filters integrated. Your new supporter here # 19.7K+👆🔔 thanks for adding me to your circle of youtube friends.
At times, when I'm tired and need to shoot like a talking head for a while, I definitely need a tripod as the handheld would be too shaky, but for generla b roll and stuff I think most people can still get stable shots because of the weight.
While we chase bigger cinema cameras, Hollywood movies such as the “Creator” & “Possession of Hannah Grace” were shot on a fx3 and Sony A7S2. While cinema cameras make shooting more convenient, you can still capture amazing video on your A7S3.
I literally only just found out about "The Creator", it looks fantastic and thanks for the heads up about "Possession of Hannah Grace"! I honestly never knew there were big Hollywood productions using these kinds of cameras but that's really inspiring!
@@RudyVisuals yeah bro, it really make you rethink about how to create. Now in the Hannah Grace movies, you’ll see some of the cons like blown highlights but it still kook amazing. Make me really feel like I can create something magical, I just have to slow down and plan more.
Netflix approved Nice 👍👍6k isn't even that expensive for a cinema camera I was looking at some other reviews and this is the considered a "budget friendly" option lol wish that was the case for me 🤣
Great vid Aaron! Out of curiousity, do you feel it makes a big difference to clients etc when you show up with a camera like that as opposed t something like an a7siii or mirrorless body?
It's a dumb reality, but it does for sure. Even though cameras like the a7iv, canon r series, nikon z series are more than capable of producing great video, people definitely sit up and take more notice when you rock up with a bigger camera setup.
It says a lot that I just watched an entire review of a camera that I have no intention of ever owning but still understood most of what you were saying. Thanks for making these excellent reviews clear and easy to understand like always Aaron :)
If the fx6 is the final evolution, where do the fx9 and Venice fit in? Joking aside, this was a great watch. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the fx6 :)
Internal ND is very useful in sunny and hot countries!
Looking forward to seeing all your future videos shot with this camera!
Lot's to come :D
This would be my dream camera!

Yep I actually agree that it's actually fantastic for the price compared to other options!

Bro the FX6 is such a beast! Congrats on getting one. Looking forward to seeing what you shoot with it!
Thanks bro!
Such a beasty camera. The footage and AF looks so good!
Great Pokemon evolution analogy.

2:00 lol great analogy.
Looks like an absolutely amazing camera!

Tbh with timecoding it's easy to match up footage with audio recorded externally in post.
good review as usual, like the color grade
Thanks! 👍

Thanks for the advice! We've just ordered one!

3:42 that is amazing!
So jealous. Would love to see side by side with s3 or a comparison video in the futures.
Definitely got that in the works!
Great review as I always expect from you! One Q - have you found the lack of IS a problem at all?
At times, when I'm tired and need to shoot like a talking head for a while, I definitely need a tripod as the handheld would be too shaky, but for generla b roll and stuff I think most people can still get stable shots because of the weight.
This or a RED Komodo would really be my dream camera.
The Komodo is a beast too, it just made me economic sense for us to get the fx6.
Just a heads with catalyst if your using the free version it’s only exporting in 8 bit not 10.

Haha honestly it took us 2 years to save up the money so it was very expensive for us too!
Definitely a Cam beast the FX6 🎥 I love my FX6 😍 best cinematic greetings from germany
Thank you! Love the work you've done so far with your fx6!
@@RudyVisuals thanks my friend 🙏 i am still learning 😉
It kind of reminds me of a camcorder my dad had growing up but obviously a lot more juiced up 🤣
Haha it definitely feels like it a bit!
I was hoping to hear from the ownership point of view... instead, it's another video of specs and things that the rest of the videos have covered...
Did you ever try the fx6. Would be interesting to see comparison between fx6, fx3 and s3.
Do you mean the fx3? We have yes, and will definitely have a comparison video soon so watch this space!
This kind of camera very difficult to find in Vietnam now :(
An amazing camera for sure but I just wish it had IBIS built in.

Aww thank you :)
Have you done much shooting with Cine EI / Slog3? I watched a video about it and was so confused!
We have indeed, hoping to put out a video on this soon!
If the fx6 is the final evolution, where do the fx9 and Venice fit in? Joking aside, this was a great watch. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the fx6 :)
Haha I think the fx9 would be like a mega evolution and Venice would be a legendary.
6k is really not a lot for a pro(ish) camera
