Once I have most of the expansions and play for another 10+ years, I'm planning on giving my whole set to my Nephew who is now 6 years old. He will love it ! Especially since all my figures, and such are all professionally painted
Yo, I’ve been watching each of your SoB videos in order and it’s been hyping me up to finally buy the game. And if it wasn’t for you mentioning that the best time to buy is during a holiday, I just scored one of their holiday bundles for Swamps of Death along with that buy two get one free card supplements. You definitely helped me save some cash!
This game is not on the new hotness lists nor really a big push anywhere because it has been out awhile and there are a metric ton of games to cover in the era of Kickstarted RUclips churn. I have shelves and closets full of games. Some are good and some are great. I started playing a long time ago. There is a reason folks bring up Warhammer Quest a lot, and it isn't nostalgia. I still have my copy with many expansions. It was both amazing in its time, and still stands atop the heap of dungeon crawlers since. That said, Brimstone is not just a love letter to WHQ, but it took the banner of Warhammer Quest and ran with it. It is an amazing experience and game. I play countless games. Yet, nothing to date, does what Brimstone does. It is the ultimate (what I call) "Saturday afternoon adventure." It is like a book. It can take you anywhere. It can surprise you. Yet it has defined rules and mechanics unlike a book or an RPG. It is tactile and full of miniatures. Too many. While too few too. There are a lot of "lifestyle" games in the hobby now. I don't know that I would call Brimstone that; you can play it exactly as much and as little as you want. I do think that any game collection is made the better if SoB is ready to fill in a Saturday or a whole summer.
@@robertharvey5904 man I'm just happy to see all these videos!!! is really a deep dive. I love fully cooperative dungeon-crawl and actually I was considering to add in my collection. I love dice especially in DC game. Let's see if i found a good opportunity about this game to add in my collection... And of course waiting the new warhammer quest!!! I want it!!!
@@TheDungeonDive I thought I was replying to the "jees you really like this game" which I assume was a reaction to all the coverage. From the reactions to my comment, I guess I missed the mark. Sorry. Short version= SoB is really good and I am glad to see the deserved (IMO) coverage.

23:31 That one reminds me a little of the opening to the movie "Hardware".
Haven’t thought of that movie in a minute!
Every time I watch these you make me want to buy more stuff.
"Letter from the President" was also a plot device in the post-apocalyptic film, "The Postman" with Kevin Costner. An underrated film, IMO.
Ah! Never seen that.
Ahhh those card supplements look awesome, gonna have to grab em during the next sale!
Love these videos on SoB. 👍👍
Glad you like them!

Nope. They're brand new.
@@TheDungeonDive OK, I have seen the extra addon at the ffp shop.
