    My all time favorite game. I can't remember any dull session. Ever session is unique which is quite rare in todays boardgames. Thanks for reminding us all 😊

    Watching videos like this which are not common and can found everywhere is very informative and entertaining! I really love Lovecraft books and the Cthulhu games and own them all. Thank you^^

    Very nice video ! It's indeed great how all the Arkham games are adding tiny lore puzzle pieces to a much bigger tapestry. For any Arkham fan who likes oldschool pixelated point-and-click adventures, I can't recommend "Dreams in the Witch House" (released 2023 by Atom Brain Games) highly enough. What's really cool and charming about the game is that it's not just a typical point-and-click adventure game, but also a Miskatonic University student's life simulator with roleplaying elements: Players need to find the right balance between their daily life in Arkham while also investigating the dreadful mystery they are caught up in. It's possible to focus on one aspect and neglect the other, but there can be repercussions ... and the game does feature various endings. Unlike typical point-and-click adventures games, the game has a very open mentality towards making progression, meaning that puzzles can often be solved in more than one way or even ignored entirely. I was sad when I finished the game, but it's impossible to see everything in one playthrough. I was also delighted to hear that the game is successful enough that there will be a sequel, based on my favourite Lovecraft story: The Dunwich Horror.

    Nice, I stared reading Nameless Cults last week (an old Chaosium publishing book). I plan to play Call of Cthulhu solo during Halloween night. Great stuff.

    Really enjoyed this video. I’m late to the party on this game. I’ve recently acquired the base game and a few of the expansions. Can’t wait to fully dig in to it!

    I like almost everything Lovecraftian and Mythos inspired.
    Arkham Horror is in my top 5 narrative and thematic board games.
    What a great game!!
    I always thought that there was an RPG hidden in Arkham Horror.
    You can use the cards as random encounters and find lore for your games and have multiple campaigns with it.

    I still can't decide if I should be investing in Eldritch Horror or Arkham Horror ;) Arkham just seems a little more intimate than the globe trotting alternative.

    Arkham is such a dang good game. I see there is an official Arkham Horror TTRPG now. Have you seen it?

    • @TheDungeonDive
      @TheDungeonDive  17 дней назад +1

      Yes - I've taken a look at it on the channel. It's OK, but it's fully focused on tradition GM-style play, so not really for me.

    Thanks for this diving in a game I love so much. Btw do you played the horror game signalis? It is a fascinating contribution to the mythos by adding it's own stuff and of course queer horror.

      The video game? I played it for a bit. Love the look of it, but survival horror video games stress me out too much! :)

    I have a question for anyone who can answer.
    How is Batman connected to the Lovecraftian Mythos and Arkham lore wise?
    Is he in the same universe or what?

    • @TheDungeonDive
      @TheDungeonDive  2 месяца назад +1

      They took the name of Arkham from HPL as an homage.

      Not the same city of the Mythos?

    • @TheDungeonDive
      @TheDungeonDive  2 месяца назад +2

      Just the name basically to pay respect. However, there is a DCU Animated movie called The Doom that came to Gotham which has Batman fighting against a cult and the great old ones. It's great!
