Few tips from someone who just did this:
You don't need to put the machine on it's side, leaning it sideways on a wall is enough.
GLOVES! I'm glad it's winter so I arrived on the job already wearing my (work/biking) gloves, these machines are sharp as hell inside!
A ratchet wrench like h-2-r uses is a godsend in tight situations like this.
Excellent video, worked out fine, machine is up and running again after replacing the carbon brushes. Did take a reset, too (that was a small bonus puzzle). Ain't the internet a wonderful thing.... Cheers!
Wish I would have watched this beforehand. My unit has a smaller access point as well and is a stacked unit with the dryer on top. Begin . . .

Great! Thank you! I've been thinking I'd have to somehow remove the motor from its bottom. Great to have some advice.
Also I'd like to chip in: before flipping your machine to a side remove the detergent drawer as it might have some residue water in it from your previous uses that might spill into the insides.

Hi, my Bosh Classixx 1400 Express washing machine is making an awful noise as shown in the video ruclips.net/video/M0R_e0_aDKM/видео.html Do you think it is something simple like the belt needs replacing? I have replaced a belt on previous washing machines so I could order a new belt and fix it myself.
