I'm baffled why ICP is down below loads of other projects in market cap, it makes no sense
1) FUD created by Sam Bankman-Fried & FTX.
2) Internet Computer $ICP threatens the establishment (big tech: Google, Amazon); also remember, large companies like these likely also make political contributions as well.
3) They don't offer a lot of money to people to create content about $ICP.
4) RUclips/Google can certainly censor and squelch the reach of this type of content. While I have no proof, my last $ICP video was trending at about 200 views an hour, and suddenly dropped off a cliff to about 2 views an hour roughly 30 hours later. With pretty good metrics, why in the world would this happen "naturally" via the "algorithm"? I personally don't believe it would.
4) These are some of the reasons why I am making $ICP videos.
There are also a lot of people invested in crypto who don’t really understand the underlying technology, and think blockchain technology was perfected 15 years ago, with no further ground for advancement and improvement.
Anyhow, the longer it stays down, the more time for us to accumulate…
Also, the name ‘internet computer’ isn’t probably the best project name, with ICP generating as many clown rap search results as crypto related content
@@adrianb2066 Yeah, I feel like it is too generic. Always thought it was a weird name. A bit on the nose. And yea, insane clown posse probably comes up a lot. I think that's their name anyway.
You mean like Shiba inu having a higher market cap? Well, it's because a lot of crypto is based on hype. Tech and fundamentals take a backseat. I think icp will have to create innovative products that create hype. They are starting to do that with Ai, cksol integration, etc

ICP is in an interesting spot because its capabilities are so far beyond any other "crypto" blockchain that the community doesn't quite know what to make of it. ICP by contrast highlights how limited in function, compute and storage every other blockchain actually is, which explains why ICP gets ignored and ridiculed.
At the same time, it doesn't have nearly the scale, performance or feature set of the proprietary Big Tech compute clouds.
Almost every other project is a ledger blockchain with smoke, mirrors, NFTs and marketing, masquerading as revolutionary tech. The fact that at the time of this comment there are 90 "crypto" projects with a >$1B market cap is absolute insanity.
ICP definitely has the best chance to succeed, but given where it sits in the overall tech landscape, it's not certain what success will look like.

Great video! I joined the 8yearGang in January 2024 with over 5,000 ICP. After all of the research I’ve done in crypto, I can’t possibly see ICP not seeing mass adoption over the coming years.
Great point there should be much more transparency about the team, and the major financial backers for all projects. ICP is obviously a massive advancement for humankind’s ways of starting companies, keeping track of financial transactions and assets, democratically governing start up companies…

Great perspective! Yes you can make money elsewhere, but you have to watch out for ICP. Nobody knows when it will take off, and if you're not in it you will miss it.

I invest in ICP for the tech, the team and because I think it's undervalued as it was left for dead.
Ya. I just wish I had more than 551.6 ICP. I can buy more, however unless the price drops another 50% or so I just don't have the funds to accumulate a whole lot more.

Not sure there is something like a team in some cases, but more or less individuals who can make a contribution to the code which the community can vote to implement or not.
