The scam already happend. A lot of people are stuck with their bubble asset. Right now, with the help of marketmakers, they try to lure people into the coin to get the exit liquidity. But that is the reality for every coin. Just don't be to greedy. Have multiple take profitzones on the way up. Get your initial investment out asap.

Why do I have a strong intuitive feeling it is still being manipulated? I hold 200ICP but the price action looks suspicious.
It probably is. Even regulated markets are still manipulated. That said, the low price right now today is more so due to the whole market being down imo.

I don't really have a price prediction. I'm hoping for $80 - $120, but maybe it'll go higher. I don't have data points to support this at the moment though. What I'm waiting for is a new low of at least around $50. For that, I think it will take longer than the current bull market cycle 2024/2025.

The thing I don't get with QNT is the finite supply. What do they intend to do when the supply runs low, assuming the project is actually truly adopted and used? Fork it? Doesn't make sense to me to start that way.

Well summed up. I’m not an ICP maximalist - I’ll invest in any other project that is at the same level, or more advanced, than ICP. However, I’m yet to see anything that ticks all the boxes…

I think most people with a lot of conviction end up sounding that way. For me, with $ICP, it is pretty simple: It is what it says it is, whereas everything else I've looked into is a joke imo.

@@SwaggerScope AFAIK Arweave only offers storage and at a cost of something like 5 or 6x the cost to use $ICP storage. Arweave doesn't offer compute. That said, I'm sure there is an opportunity to make profit with Arweave and AO computer both. For me these questions are always really two part: 1) Is there an opportunity for retail to profit? 2) Does this have a really good chance of being a long term success? More often than not, it is yes and no. Yes, probably opportunity to make money. No, probably not really viable long term since it's not really bringing value. However - contrary to popular belief, it isn't always the best product or service that wins. Look at GoPro. They may have popularized the action cam niche, but they're arguably not the best value or best product. Or look at GoDaddy. GoDaddy has done well in terms of making money, but would you want all your hosting to be through GoDaddy? What I'm saying here, is there's always the chance something like Arweave is a long term success, because factors other than what the tech can actually do come into play.

Is a behemoth of a project with all honesty the idea of a blockchain is not even what's important about dfinity it's secondary. I have been using Cryptonomy for a year, and I have never had any issues withdrawing my capital and the interest generated.
It's a crypto lending launchpad, liquidity pool. You split the interest payments with the platform. If you are not invested in liquidity pools you are missing out on huge gains. If you don't trust cryptonomy try uniswap v2 pools.
If you don't have an.income stream ... or you want to add an income stream ... i think stake it! Its a real block chain project, not a fluffy hyped up one.
Tony from Thinking Crypto reached out to them twice for me after shilling them. They locked up my FLEXIBLE deposits for nearly 6 months, then claimed that unlocking them caused a massive penalty - that I had to pay! 🤬
Hello! I have a question. If one stakes 100 icp for 8 years. Which is a dissolve delay bonus of 100%. And we forget about maturity, age bonus or voting power. How many ICP would I get after 8 years?

@@Coinopoly so the point of staking is voting and collecting maturity. Because the x2 dissolve delay of 8 years does not mean that if I staked 100 icp I will get 200 icp back.

I had similar resulta w cryptonomy. They froze my assets into 1 yr fixed staking after i tried to withdraw 16k of xrp tokens.... wish i seen this earlier... i heard of arylp a hacker group that can get the funds back. Has anyone had any experience w them or know if they are legit ?

I also have 5500 ICP staked for 8 years. My average buy is just under $4 for this bag. I also have 2250 ICP that isn't staked but it is held in the NNS. This, in my opinion is a must. I trust the security of the NNS way more than any exchange. I now plan to stake my liquid ICP on Geekfactory which will earn me around 11% I believe, without having it locked for any long period.

I think trading is not a good idea for 99% of people. You will more likely then not make less money than just holding. When staking, you eliminate the gambling aspect of crypto while earning passive income.
