Sorin, not all French cars are that good. What happens is that the 407 is definitely the best car that Peugeot has ever built (yes you heard me right. The 407 is the best car Peugeot ever built). It is an amazing car. Took them 10 years to develop and it beats the C Class and other premium cars. The 407 has a perfect medium overlap crash. Good brakes, brutal aerodynamics. I am a Benz Driver, however I do like the 407 and I do know how well this particular model perform in front crashes. Most americans think Peugeots are junk, they are somewhat right, but the 407 did set another standard for the brand. The 508 is a good shot. But I don't think that Peugeot will be able to develop a car that was so good for the brand as the 407 was.

Exactly! I own a 508 now but my 407 was better in many aspects .there was no massaging seat but far more comfort specially in long rides. the down side was the 4 speed gearbox and lack of today technology...
