Of the three, I like That XX the best. I'm a sucker for songs accompanied by just a guitar and the lyrics are so real! That performance with Sungha Jung was my favourite for this song. But I like the fact that he changes the melody with every live performance.
On a different note, I'm so glad he has hired an attorney who is taking a strong stance on his case. Stay strong and fight hard, G-Dragon!

Not with YG now so he can be in charge of how it is managed. May just be my imagination, but I noticed a change to less wild claims in reports since he saud ge was gonba take legal action against false statements. Always respected Big Hit for making it kniwn they would take action against anyone making fakse ckaims against BTS. Personally I feel YG's attitude of ignore it and it'll go away painted a target on BIGBANG's back. Jusy my opinion of course.
GD had already written Without You. Rosé had only been in S. Korea for a few months when GD heard her voice at the YG building and had her record her part. She was listed on the album as "? of YG New Girl Group" because the trainees' identities were not released at the time, she only got credited after BLACKPINK debuted in 2016. BLACK is so cleverly written song !! It's amazing how he mixes feelings with actual colour shadings.. so damn good. You're gonna love the Sky Ferrari version too, her vocals really shine on this track.

They featured in GD’s songs before Blackpink’s debut. I like all 3, but listen to Black & That XX more often, especially Black. The melody, the lyrics, just love it.

the original "Black" is featuring Sky Ferreira which I actually prefer. Jennie was added last minute bc YG decided there should be a Korean version. My fav song among the 3 is That XX. It's still on my playlist. They beep out 새끼 bc it's a curse word in Korean - I would say it's a bit stronger than "bastard". so they had to release a clean version. Also not sure if you noticed, but in the MV of That XX he plays 2 roles - himself and the "bastard". The guy with the tattoos and slicked back hair (hot GD) is the bastard while the softer look is him. Fyi as new VIP and Jiyongist (name of gd solo stan):
1. Without u ft. Rose > Jiyong really like rose voice type so he want her in his album (OOAK EP.)
2. Black ft Jennie > actually this song should ft sky ferreira but YHS(CEO) told Jiyong to re-record it with Jennie cause YHS want jiyong to promote or introduce her before debut ( coup d'etat)
3. In fact jiyong a little disappointed bout YHS decision for him to re-recording cause he want on his second album 'Coup d'etat' just contains or ft. people he admires, like we kno in that album he has missy elliott, sky ferreira, lydia paek, diplo, and baauer. So for promotion ft Jennie, and for albums/concerts ft Sky F.

Yeah, GD's singing voice is incredibly versatile...just like his rapping is.
Rosé takes the Higher tones in BlackPink, because Jisoo has the lower husky tones.
This is her more natural tone, not that she doesn't sound amazing with BP. But she took on that part, YGE wanted the members to all have a different sounds. And be distinct from eachother, and unique.
Jennie(17) and Rosé(15) are so Young here... it was pre debut, by about 3-4 years. Rosé's name wasn't mentioned at the time of the colab. Jennie was already well know as a trainee. Jennie is just in the M/V for "XX" she isn't singing, a year later she colabed with him in "Black"
Sounding like that at 15 is just pure natural talent!

Did you like it? Me too btw, I haven't heard many of their songs but I think her voice is killer in this one. There's something about a deeper kpop female voice that you don't hear very often that I just love.
I highly suggest her live cover of "The Only Exception". Her voice is my favorite in Blackpink. GD knew what he was talking about when he said her tone was great.
I love all three of these songs, but I do like "That XX" the most. Lyrics aside, it has a wine bar/jazz club feel to it that just makes me want to be sipping something expensive every time I hear it. And as for "Black", I much prefer the original version with Sky Ferreira. Jennie has a nice voice, but Sky's is more mature and just brings more to her part of the song, imo. Plus it's in English.

I haven't heard that version yet but I get what you mean. Jennie is young there and I don't know if she sounds more mature now or if her voice has stayed the same. I don't listen to her enough to really say.
LOL. My sister saw me and the first words out of her mouth was "something happened to your favorite person". I was like, "Huh? G-Dragon?". When she said "yes" my heart sank. She didn't say what and didn't have time to because I immediately checked online and read what happened. First, I was just relieved he was healthy and alive, and it was just a dumbass drug allegation. Then my second thought was, so much for that album dropping this year. That aside, I have faith that he will come out of this unscathed. There is nothing more the media and the haters can do to him. They have done it all. It's just a shame that he has to go through this BS again. Oh Ji, why can't they just leave you alone. #westandwithgdragon.

Ahhhh ok. I have so much trouble remembering Korean lyrics. I'm better with Cantonese/Mandarin and better with Japanese than Korean. It's so hard! My Korean singer friend is helping me with the pronunciation because I just can't get it right.

I think Jennie was around at 16. She didn't debut at the time. Blackpink debuted 3-4 years later.

"That XX" translates fully as "That Bastard" but in order to appear on the radio and TV, the song had to be censored. That's why the MV is censored, but you can find the uncensored track, as well, and lyric videos fully translate the "XX" part or "X" reference into the true term "bastard". You'll find that Korea's media laws are VERY strict, so groups have to blur out things, censor words, and cover up any logos of brands they aren't formally sponsoring. When it comes to BIGBANG, they were careful originally to adhere to the broadcasting laws since they wanted to promote well, but jump to his recent songs before the military and "Middle Finger Up" and "Bullsh*t" are like a slap in the face to the media.
