During mbbs we don't have good experience on what actually residency is until you enter into residency and feel yourself.
CMS is open to all from final year to post graduation completed people.

Sir, are govt quarters/ bungalows & railway passes provided in CGHS like railways?

In CGHS if there is a vacancy, you will get 3BHK quarters. If not, then you'll have to wait for it, but would be provided HRA.
Railway passes are not there but you get LTC. Will confirm it once as well.

What happen if someone have 5 year rural bond

UPSC doesn't give an extension to complete rural service. But you can request your college authority to exempt you from rural bond if you join CMS. It worked for me.

During my interview I gave Bangalore, Delhi and Jammu my preference. I got jammu.
My wellness centre is within 5km from my home.
Upsc tries their best to give you what you want, just communicate with them properly.

Hello doc... UPSC doesn't give an extension to complete rural service.
Kindly ask your bond enforcement authority if joining CMS would exempt you from the rural service.

Yes it's a permanent Group A gazetted officer job.
You can continue your whole life without doing pg and with the years in service you'll be promoted.

One thing I didn't like about this interview when he said private practice u will see after doing pg....then u can leave the job.....Agar job chodni hi hai then I think it is not wiser to join it early....Means waste of those precious 3-5yrs initially

Only selected candidates are called for the interview, in my time around 3000 people were called for the interview. They found it to be a huge positive jump.

In railways after 1 yr of service eligibility is for DNB and not MD/MS. MD/MS sponsorship is after 3/5 yrs of service.

No central govt doctor is allowed for private practice. They receive NPA.
