In the second episode of this four part series joins Crazybear as he reviews what gear he packs and how on his 2018 Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring. I have a similar set up in all my vehicles. Small first aid kit, long sleeve shirt, poncho and some water.
Walking stick is great like you said if there is snakes there, but a shovel could be great for driving in places with a lot of sand or where to get stuck.
That packable poncho is a great idea to carry! I love the idea of the kneeling pad to carry, too! I hate kneeling on the rocks. Man, this video is FULL of great ideas, but I'm sure glad there are no snakes in Alaska! ;)

Hey Guys, I should have elaborated more towards my feelings about using a shovel to cover up your business when your out in the wilderness. I was in the military and we had to practice camp etiquette because a group of people in an area for any length of time could get pretty nasty, I always had a shovel in camp and I insisted that when you went you went far and dug deep. The younger kids in camp teased me about breaking the law of the shovel but eventually they just accepted it and took the shovel when they needed to. It was regarded as a joke and eventually I added the prison sentence part for flavor to my story. We all have our quirks and this is one of mine. Thank you guys !!!!!!!
Nice shake down on the gear you carry. Interesting law on the shovel. I know it’s forbidden to leave human waste in certain wilderness areas and you must haul it out. Would this be the case?
