It's cool for short snippets here and there, but I was really unsure of how you were turning at times because it looked like you were falling off the bike... I'm really not sure how I feel about it. Now if you can get out there with a pole on the tail, that a different story!

The 360 camera is very cool. Although I do like multiple dedicated locked down camera shots, facing forward, rear and on rider along with a 360 camera. Alas, this isn’t MotoGP or a movie with a big budget and production crew, lol. So if you’re going to use just one camera, that 360 would be the one. Sweet video though👏
thanks Dukie, always fun hearing from you. I think the big con now that I've used the 360 is the audio quality is really bad, it is way more muted than GoPro, which is particularly bad because the RC8C deep twin sound doesn't come across very well in the first place! The other thing is the fish eye effect, not a huge fan of that. But it is nice that I can just film and come back and reframe it later in the software, less hassle than a GoPro for sure.
Congrats on your first bike and the RC390, great choice! If you’re in the Houston area lmk, happy to host and help however I can to get more riders on track. 👊
it is pretty fun to play around with for sure, I like that I can just set it up and not worry about framing it perfectly like the GoPro; shoot then frame later in the software.
Thanks man, highly recommend the Shark for track use. For street, just be careful of the tail, I wouldn’t pick the helmet up by the tail and don’t swipe it on furniture or hard objects, of course. Other than that, I love it and it’s my helmet of choice even against other more expensive helmets that I have. 👍
How much street riding experience would you recommend one have before hitting the track? Got a bike I'm fixing up currently and plan to get my M license soon! Just wanna have some realistic expectations for when I should hit MSR 😂
You actually don’t need much street experience before riding on track, but you do need to be generally comfortable with operating the bike: braking, throttle, turning, and just getting the sense of speed on two wheels. The best way to do it (and the most frugal way) is to start with a 250 or 300cc bike like a Yamaha R3 and then ride at MSR and kart tracks like Speedsportz. The benefit of riding on a kart track is that (1) it’s a shorter and easier to learn track and (2) it’s far cheaper ($75 a day vs $250 a day for MSR). So you end up getting much much more seat time which is the most important thing. If your goal is to learn how to ride well and fast, start small and focus on skill development. A lot of folks that are “fast” on the street are doing it recklessly or just using high powered machines that go fast in a straight line (dangerous and quite boring). Lmk if you have any other questions! If you’re in the Houston area shoot me a message on Facebook and I’ll be happy to help get you started in the sport! 👍
Hi Viet, what do you think about the Shark Race r gp pro helmet after owning it for a while now? I am looking into buying that helmet but it's been hard finding reviews on people who have used them.
Hi there, I love it. I actually got another one after I crashed in the original one, it’s that good! What I really enjoy about it is that it has good visibility, very good aero, and is extremely quiet. Build quality is good and it has the same safety ratings as my Shoei X14 and AGV Pista GP RR. The final benefit is that it’s the cheaper helmet of the 3, so I think it’s a great value for a premium carbon helmet. From a fit perspective, if you fit a Shoei, the Shark feels very similar; the cheek pads are more snug but the head shape is very similar. I am very interested in the Alpinestar RS10 helmet, so far I’ve only seen some MotoGP riders use it (Miller and Martin). When it becomes available for consumers, I’ll grab one to do a review as well. But for now Shark is what I recommend!
I ordered mine from Chromeburner and my second one from FC-Moto.de; those sites usually give you the best prices and ship quickly for US customers. I do recommend getting the lighter tint windshield, it comes with a clear and dark one - but the dark is super dark. Thanks for watching!
Really appreciate thank you! It was my first time using the 360 camera, really nifty device. If you haven’t already would really appreciate a Like & Subscribe! :D
The 360 is great for transitional footage between cameras but for a stand-alone is not a good effect for many reasons. It’s a great camera however for the 360 experience.
@@NuvolariF1 agreed, issue I run into is chinmounts are not allowed for races. Hence the 360 mounted above the steering triple tree, can get forward facing and some transitional shots.
