Well compared to frochs, chin groves is glass imo.....both got nailed respectively but froch was up at 3 and was eating right hands for another 6 rounds.....wereas groves was out till about 7 then suddenly realised he was down......imo if the ref had of let him fight on he,d now be in a coma in hospital....

St G left himself open with a very committing but very sloppy counter, then froch took his huge chance and put him out. I guess my point is that I don't think Froch is a great champion, nor particularly elegant boxer. Groves just wasn't up to it on the big day and Froch beat him in a number of ways, the knockout was just part of it. Groves got schooled in so many ways,mentally at the face off with jonny nelson and phycially and tactically in the ring,he had absolutely no respect for froch in the press conferences,and look at how it ended out for him smh,he koed froch in the first fight,froch got up and whopped his ass,wen froch knocked him down,he stayed down smh and he claimed he was gonna do the same to carl,I jus dont see how he can possibly recover from this after his mouth wrote checks he couldnt cash in
apart from Groves didnt KO Froch at any point in the first fight, he knocked him down but Froch has one of the best chin in boxing and jumped straight back up (yes a bit shakey but not uncontious at any point).

He outboxed Froch in the first fight but Froch took him back to school in the second. Groves couldn't get in his rhythm because Froch controlled the fight. Groves cant take a punch, he might be skilled etc but you have to be able to take a punch if you want to be a top boxer.
