To me wouldn't be surprised if it did. A sorta run back for the pirates who lost at MarineFord and this time I know they'd win for sure, not just cause Luffy main character, because of how many powerful allies he has and the fact that he has such a large number of people who support him.

With luffy’s power ups, he doesn’t seem to have many possible opponents that could defeat him. Taking him out of the fighting picture would allow the rest of the team, fleet, supporting characters to shine. It also allows for him to show his growth over ace for when he gets released. He smiles and says “let’s get out of here, I’m with my friends again” as opposed to ace getting taunted into battling.
Neither Rayleigh nor Shanks or even Dragon will try to save Luffy as Dragon will already be fighting against Imu (can't forget that)
And Shanks won't save him as he knows that saving him will result in getiing a lot of killings and may act on his own rather than letting anyone involve and garp will just sit aroung confused he ma not even come to the marineford at this rate and if this happens luffy will not be kidnapped because luffy has observation haki it is just instinct that will allow him to sense the admirals and I don' think even the stone prisms can hold him now as they've worked against pirates with no haki maybe to luffy they now maybe pretty useless as he survived the collar that litteraly explode and maybe or maybe not luffy might have surpassed Akainu , Sengoku and maybe on par with Rock. D. Xebec with Gear 5 as if he unlocked Gear 5 before the fight with Kaido and then used it he might defeat Kaido in a single episode even with Linlin (Big Mom) interfering and even at his strongest someone couldn't be as strong as two Yonkos and Shanks who great he might be is pretty useless against Kaido and Big Mom as he can't do much with a single hand as Mihawk stated but he is still on par with Luffy as shown is Red might just be all fake but yeah Shanks can't even win against Kaido alone he may or may not die after Sabo causing Luffy too much pain that he finally topples off the World Goverment and at the end the World Goverment will be over and thus' illegal activities all over will increase, making everyone hate Luffy and he may even find One Piece but he will still regret destroying the World Goverment and this is why One Piece manga will end early

Luffy being captured is a very good idea! There are so many characters that we want to see on stage and having Luffy as the 'damsel in distress' would leave a lot of free page for everyone without the story ending in 2050

I really like the premise of the entire video and it was some really good storytelling. However my biggest flaw with this idea is the thought that Akainu wouldn’t stop fighting because of the lasers. He believes that dying while taking down as many pirates as possible is the most honorable thing a marine can do so I doubt that he would let Shanks go

I'd love to see this arc come to life after Egghead Island (if the Strawhats get out alive). This is a good 100+ chapters in the making and would be a great way to start wrapping up One Piece (as much as we don't want it to end).

I think Enel’s Devil fruit is one of the Few fruits that can Naturally harm akainu. Lightning burns hotter than magma, so if Luffy had eaten That…everyone but kizaru would be in SERIOUS Trouble
Garp would absolutely go crazy. He could maybe let the Gov execute Luffy but seeing Akainu go in for the kill will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and he would slam Akainu within seconds.

Other character I think would help Luffy : Fujitora, I'm sure he will fully join and help Luffy, I even think he'll become the new fleet admiral at the end of the series. The Katakuri's pirate. Following the downfall of BM, Katakuri is the most likely to take command of this crew, and with the massive respect he has for Luffy, he would definitely come. Alabasta kingdom will bring their army, and the fishman kingdom too. Maybe other alive roger pirates could come, like Gaban if he's still alive

Hold on there's a huge difference between Sabo and Ace. Sabo won't go down easily because not only does he inherit the will and moves of Ace, but he also got stronger since he was alive, has powerful technique that includes haki, and his haki is really strong. He isn't going down nearly as easily to Akainu.
He was bruised from fighting fujitora on Dressroza so it's not far to assume he would struggle against a fleet admiral if he struggled against a normal admiral

While I'm sure this isn't how it's gonna go I would definitely love to see a war arc where Luffy is practically useless, in a scenario like this the strawhats can prove their worth as one of the strongest pirate crew and can also showcase every character who is atleast allies or in good terms with Luffy

Zoro would train like crazy in order to avenge Luffy. That two years of training he would ask Mihawk about Haki, if there is an advance version of it and if so train him in that to.
Sanji would be pissed. And definitely ask Iva to train him seriously or even ask Iva if he knows someone that can train him more efficiently.
Usopp would either go into a depression state or use Luffy’s death as a way to stop being a coward and actually help and fight people.
Robin would sink into darkness because her light is gone. But I think Sabo and Dragon would help her out in that faze. Dragon would be pissed because his son is gone, Sabo would of lost not one but both of his brothers at the same time. Robin would get even more excited to learn the Will of D, granted she could end up losing motivation for it.
Franky I could see reverting back to old Franky. This time making battleships in order to destroy the Marines and WG, maybe even getting corrupted in doing so.
Brook didn’t have much attachment to the Strawhats as he was very new, but I think he would retire as a pirate and make music about both of his captains. Probably try to get the Strawhats together again to visit his grave.
Nami I’m not sure. Probably would be very sad, yet find a way to steal information from the marines and WG. Definitely helping the Revolutionaries in a sense

The Sun God's Powers saving the crew near the end is a nice touch, but ..... I have a Feeling it'll be Enel who saves everyone from the Buster Call or the giant Beam from the sky in the last moments whether he means to or not! He's been shown up on the Moons seemingly gathering an army of some kind possibly to bring back and help storm the Red Line and take down the Celestial Dragons and/or Imu themselves... He also seems to know much more about the Void Century and more that he lets on.... I feel that He and Dragon are going to be huge endgame players in the story...
They both seemingly possess the Powers of the Japanese deities; Raijin and Fujin or thunder and Wind as well!
