Wow. Masterclass from Marakar in shutting down Comanches with Quads. I'm shocked to see Excal get so completely crushed like this, losses are rare for him and a total one-sided shutdown even rarer.

What a surprise turn at the beginning
I remember a question on EA forum about 20 years ago about the comanches being overpowered in vanilla ccg (not zero hour), I remember one of the recommendations given by the developers were using RPG troopers because they cause splash damage over an area, yes the comanches were considered very strong even without stealth, and looking at my old ccg replay I used to constantly use them in my games. but if the other player goes for the counter anti-air units spam right from the start, than the comanches spam should fail as it has failed in this game.

At 1:20 ExCaL sends the dozer to the corner of the map. If he delayed the worker building the tunnel a little more then the commanche would have arrived on time to deny it and the game would have been different. I wonder how it would play out

Few weeks ago. Tournament is called WS Prologue, basically testing maps for the World Series later this year
I believe commanches are underpowered and can be easily countered, their hp is not good at all, but i guess their manauverability is great

Seems to me Excal is not that great with air. Also air suffers in these small maps too.
Excal won the air tournament multiple time knocking everyone else out with ease lmao, he's known as the best player, but also the absolute best at air units overall, even his v China migs are insane @@hagalhagal9989
Maybe before they get Countermeasures and before they're in significant numbers with veterancy, possibly, but after? Countermeasures don't just work against rockets and missiles, they work against Quads too, meaning their health effectively goes way up. And then there's Air Force that can stealth them, and stop most missiles/rockets from doing any damage to them at all with a single Chinook's point defense laser. Plus they get stupidly powerful with veterancy, and the Strategy Center can boost that even further with the veterancy upgrade, not to mention the 20% damage or range bonus on top of all the above.
