I think people need to refer to a recently translated video of Coco and Aqua playing Raft, where they addressed the (two) kinds of audience that watch them, it can be an eye opening video, provided people are not too stubborn with their own ways/views that is.
To put it simply here, Coco categorized the viewers into two groups/factions, those who like to watch because the girls are having fun and those who expect and watch professional streamers doing professional content i.e. not necessarily what is fun for the girls. It was in a way to address a recent situation where Aqua had to apologize to her viewers (those from the latter camp/group) for being "unprofessional" if simply put. Obviously this has caused somewhat of a rift within the community and I think Luna addressing this to her viewers is important, even if it means making them leave if they can't accept her stance.

Luna is in some aspect has similiarities with OKFAMS especially Korone & Subaru in which they will only play the games that they wants to play, and those games are usually not the games that the majority would play (in luna case she often plays nostalgic games & of course, dark souls) you can count how many times they play games like Ark or Animal Crossing (Mio has never plays Ark even & Subaru only plays Ark like 3 times since the start) so people should stop pressuring them to play the games that they dont really feels like they want to plays, especially since i think Hologamers and Luna (who was once part of a Gamers group [If you know you know] ) took their gaming streams seriously

It's always more entertaining if the streamer enjoys what they play, I mean just look at Korone, she plays the weirdest games, but so many love watching her play it anyway. Hopefully the fans understand and sympathize with Luna on this, I know i do!

Makes sense. The purpose of entertainment is to have fun, both for the audience and the entertainer. If the entertainer isn't having fun, then it will show in his/her performance and the audience will feel the same. Luna and many other successful Vtubers know this, hence why they have so many subscribers and make so much revenue. It is so refreshing to see these Vtubers take the soul of entertainment to heart due to how cutthroat the entertainment industry is these days. That is my guess as to why they are becoming so popular all over the world.
Always be true to yourself and pursue the life that makes you happy from the bottom of your heart. That is what makes life worth living.
It's nice to see them allowing themselves to be a bit selfish sometimes and not doing whatever it takes to please their fans. We all know just how the idol industry forces their idols to try their best not to displease their fans but i think it's fine for them to be like this sometimes too, doing the things they like, enjoying themselves thus amusing their fans is definitely a good thing.

I personally think when it comes to creators in general; never give up what you love to do and as long as you enjoy it, that’s all that matters.
Sure, from time to time and you can’t think of an idea for your passion, but once something announced, the audience shouldn’t expect it and neither should you unless you want to.
I learned this experience with just music and how people would put me in these expectations I didn’t enjoy doing and wasn’t getting paid to go to a complete stranger’s house to try to be like a radio for the party. I remember that I just got more and more miserable and that’s when I did music in private but now I’m doing what I love to do no matter what people put me as.

Shes got a very good point here that i think a lot of viewers dont see. (Not the majority thankfully) If a streamer isnt enjoying what they're doing, that stream is gonna suck. Its the same with writing or making games. If the creators heart isnt in it, the content is gonna reflect that. So im glad she understands this and is explaining that to her viewers. My personal take is right the middle sadly. I LOVE watching them play things they enjoy, at the same time there are games i would like to see them play. Id give recommendations but i would never say "Hey (insert vtuber here) play this." Sorry friends, thats not how life works ^^
This is so true for many content creator especially personalities. I have way more respect for those who stays for the person and have zero sympathy for people who are there for certain content. And with Vtubers they are in the first place a persona, so demanding one specific content from them goes against the premise and those people better move on before they look stoopid. This reminds me hard with Hinata and how people are nothing but one dimensional consumerism.

For context here, b4 there were limitations on the games vr youtubers could play, and we can see some games are imposed.
I do agree with her that playing whatever viewers recommend is quit a pain in the ass.
It's probably a matter of time finding what they want to do live. I can enjoy playing Uno with friends and family, but hate to play alone. Also I enjoy playing prince of Persia alone but hate interruption from others.
Korone is a fine example of doing what she likes, and even her had to face comments criticizing her way to handle streams.

Glad i saw this vid, makes me understand her more, still can't get over her dark souls stat build though, well that’s her play style and its foreign to me so maybe that’s why i enjoyed her stream.
Pretty sure thats a given to many youtubers, vtuber or not, anyone playing a game for the sake of "Everyone asked me to play this game" doesn't end too well. Even the Big 3 (Markiplier, Jackcepticeye, and Pewdiepie) avoids that nowadays.
There's no point watching someone playing a game when they don't enjoy playing it.
So basically... just have fun.
Personal, westerner opinion inbound:
Saying she doesn't want to play she doesn't enjoy even if her viewer wants them, is completely fine and I doubt people are going to dislike it EXCEPT for those that feel entitled to what she must do. Remember that you're not paying for a service, you're donating to support a channel/content creator to keep doing their content because you enjoy it/them.
What I would like her to do, though, is tell us what games she won't keep playing/doesn't enjoy, so that people don't bother with "are you going to continue." It's more about feeling a resolution to your doubts: "did she drop this game?" "Is there going to be a continuation?" I feel like she doesn't want to hurt people, and I feel like --given the translation-- she's trying not to insult people by saying "I don't like the game you like, and I don't you to bother me by asking to play it again," which she is on her human given right to say and do... just that she'd be better at communicating and strengthening her relationship with her viewers if she were more straight by saying she won't continue a game she didn't enjoy. I dunno, how Japanese take it, but I feel like us Westerners are more okay with that straight-forwardness, and in fact find it insulting to beat around the bush, as if they are just playing with us.
Probably just the Watame fan in me talking, but for the first minute or so, I genuinely thought she was somehow leading up to "Luna wa warukunai yo nee~" and I was waiting for it.

Luna just has a unique baby voice imo. Can be a bit hard to understand at first but you get used to it. Miko on the other hand tends to slur syllables and doesn't enunciate very clearly when she's excited or agitated lol. It sounds cute anyway though so it's wtv
