Aw I'm so glad!! You're gonna have a great time. We actually had a kitchen on our floor so we were able to make it on the stove in there. I also had a microwave in my room so if I was lazy I would just heat up the noodles in a bowl!
I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to IU in the fall and will most likely live in Forest! I am a little bit worried because I originally wanted to live in Briscoe because I heard there is a bigger social scene there but Forest is closer to where most of my classes would be. Is there a social scene in Forest??
Awesome! Briscoe does have a big social scene, but Forest’s social scene isn’t bad. There will be lots of cool people on your floor or people you’ll see everyday in the food court. I don’t think its any thing to worry about! Also Forest is in the best location- by classes, food places, and has the best food court!
This is so helpful! My son is moving into Forest next week. Do you know what size storage containers to buy for that little shelf system you have under the TV where you keep the food?
do you know what the measurements of your bed risers are?! i’m trying to see if my dad can make some too! i want to be able to fit a three drawer organizer underneath!
Hannah Thacker I will insert a picture of them when I find them! He just made it with blocks of wood and had like a divot in the top so the bed wouldnt slide off:)
Forest is definitely one the best dorm options, epecially when it comes to the food!! It would be kind of a hike to Kelley, so I would recommend living in Briscoe if possible. But if you wanted to live in forest, the walk isnt tooo bad and there are lots of busses that are always running that go right to kelley! Hope that helped

My dad actually made 4 risers for me because I wanted it that high and the school doesn't loft them like that for you and the bed risers you buy in stores aren't as high as I wanted. I can let you know how he made them if you want! lol
