Tarrant County to end contract with private prison, bring inmates back to Fort Worth

The county has used a private prison to house inmates while renovating the Tarrant County Corrections Center, but the company recently failed a state inspection.

Green Bay & Cold Springs already had/still have ongoing issus with their HVAC, so they missed that deadline years ago. Send all the Commissioners & Sheriff Bill E. Waybourn to Green Bay for a week. Maybe they'll move a little faster.

Whoever wrote the title of this video should not get a raise. It should read: TARRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONSIDERS TERMINATING CONTRACT WITH PRIVATE PRISON or perhaps it should read as TARRANT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' COURT MAY TERMINATE CONTRACT WITH PRIVATE PRISON

Being maimed for life for something small is not justice. It's disproportionate punishment you wouldn't wish on yourself or your family.

Just because you shouldn't have to go doesn't mean the 12 people who make that decision will get it right. Scores of peiple had to be released after sitting on death row for a decade because they were later proven to be innocent. Many police lie and many prosecutors had evidence that the suspect was innocent but they never gave that evidence to the defense. So doing right has never been a guaranty that one won't land in prison or be executed.
