- Many young men in Accra make a living by taking scrap metal and taking it to Agbogbloshie where the insulation is burnt off in the open for the metal to be sold for a pittance.
In this documentary, Umaru Sanda looks at this health hazard, why these young men do it and the impact it has.

Could you maybe include subtitles so that this great documentary can also be used in EFL classes?
There are lots of jobs in the north though
It is mostly an auto junkyard. The electronic waste has been re-used for 20 years before reaching the dump. Hand disassembly is actually better than European shredding. Many improvements could be made, but beware waste colonialism EU portrayals.
Do they know there is gold inside
Most don’t
They have grinder , separator machines that are clean and only require the people to run it. It could be done clean but it would cut most of those people out
That is the sweetest blue shirt I've ever seen
The government can easily curb this but they have let it get bigger and bigger this is messing up our air, also we should find cleaner ways to do this business
TOXICITY! Dead ppl walking!
